A-choo! The MMP

When Soylent Green came out in theatres, my JHS BF took me to see it. Needless to say I was grossed out. So, after the flick, we went to the concession stand. The gal asked if I wanted anything, and I went on an “are you kidding me? have you seen that movie” rant; after which, BF ordered 2 hotdogs. I sheepishly ordered one.

BLURF!!!

Some of us have to [del]repress the peasants[/del]get ready to go to work. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Sunday!

It’s pouring rain outside, which I guess is a good thing. Nobody will be out looking at houses I hope. So far the house is still listed as active.
So while everybody else is cursing the rain I am cheering it on.
Another plus with all this rain, if the basement and/or roof leaks we’ll know it.

Went to a party the other night. Didn’t see many people I knew, but I met some new people.

I’m working on a piece of music. It’s pretty much finished, but I need to put it into my notation program.

Going to a concert tonight. Must brave the blizzard!

Not much else to report at the moment.

I’ve been up for a while, getting ready to do some clean-up, laundry, shopping, and then to kick back and watch basketball, if I can stand it.

We still have snow on the ground - just a touch - so I need to wait a bit longer before going out to cut down all my winter interest items.

Went to an all-day gardening program yesterday, which was marvelous. They has several really good speakers, but the huge revelation was Jessica Walliser, a horticulturist who has developed a huge interest in bugs. She’s a great speaker and most of the audience walked away with a brand new appreciation for all the living things in our gardens. Read a sample of Attracting Beneficial Bugs to Your Garden to see what I’m talking about. Amazon and iTunes both let you read samples.) The first chapter opens with slug sex. Seriously.

Anyway, I’ve got lots to do today, so I suppose I should get moving.

I’ve only skimmed (but did see that RT is back - yay! - and meant to tell giggity his videos were cool). rosie’s sig for all the comments I’m forgetting.

Hugs all.

I watched Soylent Green once. All I remember is that everyone was shiny and the air was extremely orange.

There’s snow on the ground again and the trees are trying to lean horizontal. I guess it’s another Sunday stuck in the house. Glad I wasn’t planning on getting the rest of the stuff for my pico garden this weekend. My one cilantro is hanging out with the fuzzy leaves on the windowsill, looking longingly for the sun.

I’m finally back home. I had to take Hubby to his truck. He has to park it about 20 miles from here. Anyway, he had to head out this morning, going to somewhere in Virginia, I think. Winchester? Yeah. Something like that.

The sun is out, and it’s supposed to get up to nearly 60 degrees today. That’ll be nice. I’m looking forward to it. It’ll be a good day to pick up poo from the dog yard, I suppose.

I think I’ll make a pizza for lunch, later. That just sounds good, not to mention easy! I may even try to get a nap, at some point. That sounds better than anything I have on my agenda for the day!

Have a nice Sunday, everyone.

I got in 2 good hours of claying, and I just finished eating the leftover sketties. The clay stuff I was working on needs to dry before I can do anything else. My poor hands were really, really dried out, but they’ve been lotioned.

It’s not raining at the moment, but it’s breezy, and low 40s - brrrrrrr! Great day to be indoors, for sure! Maybe a good day to bake, too. Maybe. We’ll see how I feel. *Someone *has been asking for oatmeal cookies.

I ended up with a headache this morning. So RT was very awesome and fixed lunch for us today.

I’m feeling better but not looking forward to taking RT back to his truck tonight. Ace, RT has been parking at a place that us about 20 miles or so from here, too, and we would both have to get up way too early in the morning for me to take him back before work.

:waves to gt:

So hubby went to the grocery store and I gave him my ATM card. Well hubby came back with everything but my ATM card:smack:

He went back to the store and looked around in the parking lot, asked inside the store with no luck. He called the company and they showed the purchase at the grocery as the last transaction and blocked the card. Now I have to get a new card which will probably take a week or more

On a happier note he is cooking a roasted chicken, turnip green, candied carrots and other stuff. The house smells yummy.

The dog,Lucky Louie, will get a bath today and maybe the car. Other than that Sloth will ensue.

The Princess succeeded in her “get up and feed me, Mom!” campaign around 10-ish. I’m current on several online games, am debating what my activities will be for the rest of the day (I know some laundry needs to happen).

Afternoon/evening shift at a thrift store is a zoo, even when it’s raining. I also seemed to get the grumpy types who couldn’t shut up about their annoyance with prices and selection . For bonus points, we were shorthanded because one poor guy had to go home early due to not feeling well.

So far this morning I have:
*read two pages of submissions for the Great LJ Popularity Contest I’m participating in
*cleaned the Stately Manor
*watered all the plants
*did the dishes
*:eek:ironed my irk clothes:eek:
*went to the grocery store for the green scrubbie pads I forgot to get on Firday
*listened to last week’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me and found out the name of the Old Spice Guy

Howdy Y’all! I have deheathenated, had N.O.L., and had a nappy poo. It’s been such an exhaustin’ day!

I had to run to Food Lion for milk. I came back with milk, and cereal, and bananas, and bread, and cake makin’s, and a chicken. Funny how that always seems to happen.

Cake is in the oven.

Wow! he is lucky if he gets the car!
My dog is happy with a beggin strip.

I need to find something to eat but the cupboards are bare here and I don’t want to go out in the rain. I finished the Chinese and I can’t stand to eat anymore peanut butter.

Priogies for late lunch/early dinner.

And…
it’s snowing.

Just because I cannot resist juvenility, I am happy to report that it is now <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin here.

The snow stopped
The sun came out
Now it’s grey again
In less than a half hours time

we got thunderboomers here

**sari **- you had snow??? We’ve just been having rain on and off, and lots of wind.

Supper was yummerrific! I made a roast beef, smashed N.O.T. with canned gravy (hush) and, believe it or not, roasted brussels sprouts, which were good! We’s both stuffded, cake will come *lots *later. Happy happy tummy!
