I am on a weekend NOW. ![]()
rosie, I saw someone wearing a Soft Kitty shirt yesterday and I thought of you.
I wrote my first fiction story in a couple of years today. Well, technically I started it yesterday but I released it into the wild today.

Back from [del]piggin’ out[/del] dinin’ at the good local steakhouse. We had the fried green tomato appetizer (hush, they’re good!), sallit, ribeye steaks, baked N.O.T. with butter, sour cream, and chives, and some really good rolls. No dessert cause there’s brownies and ice cream here at da cavve. I’s stuffded!
Spaz liked the story. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to mingle with the peasantry.
I have been thinking about FairyChatMom’s chicken all week and found this somewhat different recipe on line and tried it today for supper (without the red chili paste, as I didn’t have any). We agreed that it was *definitely *scrumptious and the recipe is a keeper. I suspect it might also go well with pork tenderloin in place of the chicken.
Bookie right now I am stuffded to the gills but that sounds insanely good! I shall be doin’ this some time soon.
Thus another wild, crazy, nonstop day ends at da cave. I shall go join OYKW upon the bed to watch teevee or a movie. Not sure what he’s watchin’ in there.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
One more afghan finished, and I’ve started another. Guess it’s as good a time as any to log off and power down.
MWAH!

Delta means don’t expect luggage to arrive. They do a bang up job livin’ up to their name.

Guess that shows I don’t normally watch Channel 9 news…

We watch Channel 9 daily, but I fear it’s a different 9.
I flew on US Scareways yesterday on a Scarebus. Follow the mergers over the years… America Worst and Northworst became part of US Scare, and now soon to be renamed American.
It was at least an uneventful but unenjoyable flight. Stuffed to the rafters and they offered free gate checking of bags, so I happily took them up on it since we already had two checked bags.
One of our favorite Faire performers flies to and from his home in Chicago each week when he’s at this or that .Faire. I have no idea how he can stand it, but by now, he’s probably got Ultra Admiral Chairman Executive Elite Super-Duper status so he at least gets a more comfortable seat.
I know y’all in Jawjuh are just longing for bungalows, what with all y’all’s palatial residences. ![]()
I’m going to work on this faerie’s skirt a little more before I turn in. What I’m going to turn into is up for debate.
Pork minute steaks and potatoes fried in bacon grease with herbs for dinner, despite watching Hannibal Lecter cook long pig on recorded TV.
RT is home! We just watched Last Vegas and it was pretty good. Now he’s fiddling around on his keyboard and I’ve just now remembered the laundry so I guess I’m going to go check on that. I hope it’s bedtime soon. I’m tired.
Drove down to visit the parents for the night. No special reason other than to keep up my intention to ‘never have regrets’ when times come to pass.
Will head home early tomorrow to get ready for work again.
Sleep pattern still fucked up.
Goodnight.
On the dark side, Canes lost, and we had a severe thunderstorm/tornado warning(it leaked in the arena.) On the bright side, Fox Sports showed our tailgate, and my Chinese chicken nuggets got mentioned(gt, you shoud see if they rebroadcast, we’d like a copy or link)
We usually just shoot it. It’s like a liquid Atomic Fireball.
and still post, second choice is still good(I Stil have the 2 mugs, the Fairy Chat Monster, and the Canes doggie.)
Yay for RT being home, sticky!
Neat story, Spaz. I prefer a woman who can wipe her own bum, too.![]()
Night, giggi!
flytrap, one time I picked up a pizza from a restaurant after watching a Castle episode where the victim was roasted in a pizza oven.
For some mysterious reason, the alarm on FCD’s phone decided we needed to wake up at 4:30. I tried and failed to fall back to sleep - partly because I was hot. OK, not hot, but it’s usually in the low 60s in here overnight, and this morning, it was nearly 70! Anyway, I gave up and got up. I may go back and try to snooze in a bit, but for now, Higgs is fed and I’m up.
Today will include some clay time. And I pulled a beef roast out of the freezer yesterday - I think it’ll get rotissed. Beyond that, no plans. Just another soggy day in Paradise.
Happy Sunday!
Maybe my psychic annoyance at only getting to bed at 4.30 my time spilled over- if so, sorry!
Survived zombies, now for rugby. Exhausted before I start. Oh well, it’s sunny, and at least I ain’t working’ Monday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 49 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 70 for the day. Should warm up to the low 80s by Tuesday. Come on warm weather!
Spaz I do sometimes gaze down on the peasantry from the turret and wonder what it would be like to mingle with them. Then I recall they don’t employ personal bum wipers. How could anyone live like that!
Today is fifth Sunday breakfast (this is a tradition brought by the Lutherans) so I shall stop at the Pubic Sto’ and get some fruit and/or muffins to take. Plus, MOOOOOOM, Sonny’s for N.O.L.!
Glad you survived the zombies Nuts.
Now I need more caffiene. Rumbly tummy wants sustenance so maybe a little cheese toast to tide me over might be good. Also, purtification for deheathenization must commence. I am Lector (not the cannibal kind) this mornin’ at the Whiskypalian service.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Not only is it not sunny here - it’s still dark, and I can hear rain pounding on the chimney covers, so it’s coming down with gusto. At least we have a few days of sun ahead… theoretically.
Well, aren’t we all lazy this morning!! I’m all dressed in grubbies for some studio time. Might as well - it’s too soggy to venture forth.
Lazy, moooooom? Speak for yourself! I was up bright and early this morning, changed the bedding and got it in the wash then scrubbed the kitchen floor (properly, not just namby-pamby mopping), hung the sheets outside to dry and put the second load of laundry in, and that was all before breakfast.
Our clocks went forward by an hour overnight too. Luckily I had remember to change the clocks on the cooker, microwave and heating thingie, and everything else resets automatically so I knew when I got up at 8am it really was 8am.
I am planning very little for the afternoon, in fact since it’s nearly 2pm I should consider having some lunch to go with the copious amounts of tea I’ve been drinking today. There may be half an hour’s exercise later if I can be bothered, or maybe I’ll just go back to the rest of that book.
**BooFae **- obviously you and I are functional this morning, but where are the rest of the slugs?? Probably dawdling over coffee from their breakfast in bed, waiting for Jeeves to draw a morning bath. THOSE Mumpers were the target of my scorn! And rightfully so, I believe!
OK, to the studio with me - that clay won’t mold itself!
BLURF. Happy Sunday everyone! Up and brekkied. Not going to do anything today but lounge around and watch hubby cook the Sunday Dinner I ordered up.
It is warm and very windy. We had a good thunder storm last night.
Have a good day all.
