A-choo! The MMP

Up, and caffeinated. Got to buy wiper blades, and hit the liquor store today.

swampy, do it! It’s always time for bacon!

1/3 the way through Crazy Weekend, and I’ve already pretty much lost my voice through having a rotten cold, and having to talk over the music.

The actual work was quite fun, if it went on too late, but I had to drive three co-irkers back, and I did vaguely wonder if I should improve the planet by drivin’ the whole mess off the bridge at one point. I reckon they had the combined IQ of a sponge, and enough racist, sexist, homophobic and just generally nasty comments to supply your average football crowd. I have a repeat with at least 2 of the same tonight, and as one of them gets to pick who the 3rd is, I’m guessing it won’t be one of the decent guys there (who do exist). Then I have to be awake enough for rugby on what I estimate will be less than 5 hours sleep.

Happy Sattiday for them that celebrate!

Good morning!! It’s been raining on and off since at least 5AM when I first heard the pitter-patter. Higgs didn’t get all obnoxious till almost 7. We’ve been to the gym and have breakfasted. **FCD **is taking Higgs to a groomer in Leonardtown to get her nails clipped. I’m going to do a little on-line research, then adjourn to my studio for a few hours.

**Nuts **- sounds like a charming crowd of coworkers. ugh

Let’s not go changing nicknames - **Ace **it is and **Ace **it shall remain. I have spoken! <cue dramatic music> So BBBobbio, you just go back to WalMart and troll for old ladies! :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s all I can manage for now. Happy Saturday!

The best part about this race is it’s 10:00* & we’re sitting in the bar waiting for the results.

  • But that means it’s 5:00 somewhere!

They have Magic Hat on tap, I asked the barmaid for a “Nine”, she thought i was speaking German to her. :smack:

Nut, we had a cow-orker like that at one job. We all mocked him.

Just woke up for the second time today.
It’s wet and windy outside.
I have mail I need to deal with. The IRS sent me a reminder that I owe them money. I have to find the booklet for Sah-sons insurance. I have to choose a doctor and set up an appointment for him. I need to set a doctor appointment for myself as well, once I find out what I have.

I think the fish died and not that I want to see anything die but I am so glad it’s out of the middle of the dining room table. I know most y’all like your fishes and I think they are nice to look at when somebody else has to do the work, but I don’t enjoy having a fish bowl where I eat. I’m glad the bird cage is at the opposite end of the table so it’s not where I eat that gets all the cast off from the cage.

Happy Caturday, mumpers! I am alone and unsupervised this weekend thus I treated myself to a cheeky cocktail last night. This morning I was up at the crack of sparrow’s fart to go into the big city and meet a friend for coffee. We used to work together at the uni then we both left on the same day (that was 2.5yrs ago) so now we just meet up now and again for a natter. It was so good to see her though, she’s had a bit of a rough time at work but she’s made it through with her dignity intact.

I came back to town and did the usual Saturday errands, now I am planning to do one domestic thing today (change the bedding) then I will retire to the sofa with a good book (yes, went to the bookshop today and spent nothing thanks to the remnants of a gift card and a load of loyalty points) once I decide which one of the two I picked up this morning will get read first.

I may have to do something productive tomorrow, but we’ll just have to wait and see…

I’ve been up for a hour and haven’t done a thing.
I can’t believe it’s almost noon.

I did not wake OYKW up with evil bacon fryin’. I did it with evil ham fryin’ and bizkit bakin’ instead. I made a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig brekkie of ham, cheesey aigs, grits, and bizkits. It’s near N.O.L. time but neither of us is hongry in the least.

It was rainy and stormy for a while this mornin’ then it stopped. The weather cleared and now the sun is out. However, the ground is squishy from all the rain we had yestiddy and this mornin’.

Nuts lovely co-irkers ya got there.

BooFae how nice! You’re gonna curl up on the couch and read to the cats.

Ok, off to surf around a bit. I’m sure there’s stuff on teh intaratoobz that needs my immediate attention.

No, my plans were thwarted by Shadow as he decided to go to sleep on the bed thus bedding cannot be changed until he decides to wake up and move his fat furry behind. I had a cup of tea and retired to the sofa with Ophie, reading must be very soporific because she went to sleep too.

Bath time next, then I must consider what to make for dinner. I’m sure Shadow would like the answer to that question to be “fish”.

What a cat-ass-trophy. =^.^= :cool::smiley:

eta - Ooooh! First on 6!

Hi eerybody and Happy Caturday

Was just beaten down and finally copped some sleep.

Much better, now.

Why do we have to work with the “cream of the crop”? Sometimes you just wanna slap em, idjits.

Jim

Nope, only partway down 2. :stuck_out_tongue:

BooFae I’m sure Shadow would like a nice dindin of fish after a long, leisurely nap. Ophie, I am sure, would not disagree.

Just had a little nosh. A cheese sammich to be exact. OYKW is takin’ me out to the local really good steak place for dindin. He’s buyin’ so who am I to argue. Anywho, we’ll go around five for an early dindin. I’m savin’ up cause they have some really good appetizers as well as good steaks.

I done killded the MMP!

It has been an artistical afternoon. I trimmed the 4 pots that I threw earlier this week. Two have become monster pots and one is a steampunk style - looking like steel panels screwed into the pot. The last pot will also be done in steampunk style - inspired by the painting **FCD **has been doing. I’ll probably work on that tomorrow.

It’s raining like crazy at the moment. So glad to be inside.

No. I was out

  1. Buying new wiper blades(since it’s windy and rainy, and bordering on “icky”)
  2. Buying a pint of Fireball whiskey for the tailgate
  3. Buying beer for the tailgate
  4. Buying [del]cat[/del]chicken for the Chinese “chicken” nuggets I’m making for the tailgate.
Moooommmmm!, post some pics when you’re done. Maybe I’ll make an offer.

Capt’n, who beat you down? I’ll axe 'em for you!

A splitting headache?

Have you ever had Fireball in apple juice? **FCD **claims it’s quite tasty.

And I will post pics - my sis wants to buy two of my pieces to be “fabulous prizes” at a big party she’s having in July. Rather than haul them all to her, I send her a link to Photobucket and she can choose from there.

Pouring like crazy right now. I bet my yard is mega-squishy. But it’s not freezing and I’m sure my flowers are happy. I see some gardening soon in my future. Yay!!

Beautiful, beautiful day. The first one in ages.

I’m dirt broke this week, but the bills are paid, and the fridge is full, so it all works out.

I have gotten a few things done - grocery shopped, cleaned the kitchen, made my henna hair dye (which must now sit for 24 hours), and started a round of french onion soup. The onions are currently cooking down. The carmelization should start soon.

In two months, I’ll be moving to a new apartment. I’ve given up on this one because they raised my rent by 20% at the end of my first lease, it’s too damn far away from work, and I’m tired of living on the ground floor. I can’t ever let the monsters (kitties Cleopatra and Hatshepsut) out on the porch.

BTW, does anyone know how to run one of those little kitchen composters? The stuff I put in mine all got moldy. Do I need to fill the bottom with potting soil or something?
