A Circusless MMP

I’m like sunny about answering the phone. If you aren’t on my contact list, leave a voicemail.

I will be so glad to see May end. I have to irk Monday as my two cow-orkers are off. Groceries are bought and put away and supper (Thai basil chicken and chicken satay from teh good noodle house) et. I’m kicking back now.

Slammed at work all day. A bit tired. And more tomorrow.

: Deploys Catfish :

You mean stuff like ending up in Tiki Bar women’s rooms?
And I’m hoping for 6 games, so the Preds can win on home ice.

A high pitched whine emanating from Cindy Crosby.

But you gotta admit ------ it was amazing in there, wasn’t it?

Now if we were in DuBois and the Harley shop, all the ladies want to sneak into the men’s room to see this ----- https://igx.4sqi.net/img/general/600x600/CIV3BSZT5DTADKDWSV1YYV2YW1OSZX3JKZNO3QN1K3FX3PI4.jpg
Work finished out fine for the week. I tried to snag some extra time for the weekend but failed to get at the computer fast enough. So I will settle for being handy around the house and smoking some assorted critters.

Went to a new Chinese place. It was actually pretty good, so now we have a new place in the rotation.

Now I am vegging with the TV.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Another double today.

Me, too. I’ll check the numbers for calls I don’t answer, and just about all show up as scammers. Life’s too short.

Slept till 6 again - yay! Higgs has been tended to and I’m caffeinating. Mowage will come at a slightly more reasonable hour - don’t wanna piss off the neighbors. I should do some laundry - or maybe I’ll leave it for tomorrow. Dunno.

Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 87 and N.O.S. for the day. Quality time at the cee-mint pond is definitely in store for the day. I yanked a couple ribeyes outta da freezer last night. They shall be marinated and grilled for dindin along with a N.O.T. casserole I shall make up in a while, bacon wrapped asparagus, sallit, and rolls. Plus more watermelon for dessert! I also yanked a beast roast outta da freezer which I shall let slow cook overnight for N.O.L. tomorrow. Go Me! I could have been nice and invited some folks over to hang at the cee-mint pond but really I’m just happy for it to be just OYKW and me havin’ some time together.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify up a bit and make the casserole and sallit for tonight. I’ll be nice and not make a lot of noise until OYKW is awake.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Happy Saturday!

It’s a cloudy 59 degrees outside, with a high of 70 predicted. I still haven’t planted the lavender and yellow flowering plant my mother gave me, so that is happening today.
I have no idea where to put the yellow flower since I think it is going to look pretty lonely all by itself out there.

I’m making tacos for the kid later, and baking some chicken for me.

Thank you for the trash day reminder Swampy, I’ll have to check our pick up schedule too.

I didn’t sleep well last night and have a huge BLURF! My fingers aren’t working right on the key board.

Mowage has been accomplished!! **FCD **drove ol’ John D and I pushed the Toro. Thank goodness for self-propelled mowers. It’s tough enough walking across a slope without having to push at the same time.

After I cool down, I think I’ll do the laundry. Not sure what else I feel like accomplishing today - not much.

swampy, what time is supper. Iffen I leave right now, will I be there by then? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m like doggio in that I would like to see the Preds win the cup on home ice, even with the horrific traffic mess that it will be.

The guys from the thrift store just left with the china that my niece has neglected to come get for a year. She told me that she would come get it a couple of months before I moved last summer. It got moved with me. :frowning: She’s told me that she’d be here to get it several times since and flaked. I needed the space for a puppy crate, so the nice guys from the DAV came to get it. The to-do list for today includes getting out in the garden before the heat sets in, then moving a shelving unit in the laundry room to where the china had been stored and going through some things that have been in totes since moving.

A friend and I are going to the Buddhist temple for the Lao New Year this evening. There will be some good food (including a booth belonging to a foodie friend), music and a marketplace. It’s always been fun in past years.

Howdy Y’all! Takin’ a little break from the cee-mint pond. I needed sump’n non-alcoholic to drink and to soak up a little a/c. 'Tis right warm out but not awful hawt, so there’s that. Dindin is all prepped and ready to cook when we decide to do so. I think a couple more hours out at the cee-mint pond will do it for the day.

Laterz!

Red I think you did the right thing. If the china was important to her, she would have gotten it by now.

Sari I know how you feel. Fell asleep around 5. I’ve got to get this fixed.

Swampy sounds like you have all the plans!

Doggio good luck with the double. Do you get any time off this weekend?

Beautiful suunyb73 degree day. Picked up my new eyeglasses and went to the barn. Ariel was sunning herself, having a good time eating grass. So I let her enjoy her day and came home. Watching teepee, alternating between Harry Potter and Say Yes To The Dress. Restful day.

I’m using up my sport yard using double strands to make a miscellaneous pattern lap robe. It will be warm and very colorful!

In from quality cee-mint pond time, showered, and have et. Dindin was da bomb! I do love me some bacon wrapped asparagus. Plus I have some more ready to make tomorrow for N.O.L. ‘Twas a nice relaxin’ day. Now we’re in and in chill mode. OK, we’ve been in chill mode and it continues.

The sun came out for a bit, but it rained most of the day.
It’s been chilly in the house most of today, when I sit I have to wrap up in a blanket.

Sunny I was doing pretty well with sleeping through the night. Now i’m back to waking and not being able to get right back to sleep.
I’ve been really hungry the last few days too.

I’m a little concerned the breeder didn’t get my deposit yet. I mailed it Wednesday, but I guess going from small town, MD to small town, OR takes a little longer.

Dinner was meat. Lunch was roasted corn so when it got to dinner neither of us cared about a side dish. I smoked thick-cut round steaks that came out so tender that you could break them with your fork and I did some bone-in ribs. Now its time for some bad horror movies in TV.

I’m trying to decide whether or not to go back out to the humane shelter. I’ve visited a couple of times and both times saw a cute little chihuahua mix. He’s about four years old, and is named Bruiser.

I was looking for dachshunds in my area online, and one website showed me several, but they also had a category for* “We’ve found a few others you might like”*. What do you know, Bruiser was one of them. Is Somebody trying to tell me something?

I’ve had my heart set on another dachshund actually. But this dog is a sweet looking little guy. He’s about four years old, so that may be working against him, even though he’s small and seems friendly.

Anybody here ever adopted an adult dog? Is it hard to potty train them? I do have a crate, from when I was trying to keep Nathan stationary.

The thing is, should I go back a third time and maybe, just maybe, ask to have a meet and greet with Bruiser?

CupCakes seems to me you are destined to be Bruiser’s new mommy. Sometimes the critter picks you.

Sometimes adult dogs are already trained. Did you ask the people at the shelter?
Anyway, I say go have a meet-n-greet with Bruiser. What’s the worst that could happen?
