A Circusless MMP

Up, showered and that’s about it thus far. I have housework and laundry as usual. Sari today is day 23. It is getting easier each day. I even go long stretches and not even think about it.

I am waiting on my insurance co to approve my knee shots as i am in desperate need. It’s been over a year since the last set. I really hope to hear from that by Tuesday. Going up and down the stairs is most painful. Walking not painful at all. Just bending. Getting old is not for sissies.

Yay Butters on the smoking!!! I hope the insurance comes through soon on the knees.

The rest of you - rain is our friend! It keeps things green and prevents the giant burning things that happen every summer. I like rain.

Today is actually cloudy where I am. It’s supposed to reach 82, but so far it’s still just 61. Which is fine with me. I’m actually going to have to figure out how my sprinklers work!

Happy Sunday all!

I haven’t personally but I know a few people who have done so often; multiple adult dogs over the years. Housebreaking becomes more a matter of giving them time to match their schedule to yours from what I am told; more a case of learning a different way than out-right training. But the joy they get from giving a loving forever home to an otherwise hard to adopt ------------ makes up for the extra effort and work.

PS I am not a fan of chihuahuas (cha-hoo-a-hoo-as as we call them) because all the ones I’ve known have tried to chew the crap out of me. But I checked the link and he really is a cute little booger.

In other news, leftovers with some fresh greens is the planned dinner today. Laundry is underway, we’re getting the crops in for the year, and I got grand-dad’s tombstone in the corner of the garden (don’t ask); I even did some show shopping and am now stocked for the next year or three. Tomorrow is work but since its a scheduled shift for me its 2.5 times pay. Assuming HR doesn’t screw up and forget to punch the right buttons.

Wow - WiFi. Woo-hoo! Weather is not good so I’m NOT starting tomorrow. Didn’t read otherwise as I gotta go.

Maybe they think you taste good. :stuck_out_tongue:

Back after a Tar-jay run to replace the teevee remote. I seem to go through one of those every couple or three years.

Just talked to Dad and Sis. They’re both OK, although Dad’s lights are out because of thunderboomers. I’m getting ready to do a few things in the kitchen to prep for the week ahead. Later y’all!

Today most of my city’s museums are free, including a local zoo. I went to the zoo, but it took two and a half hours of waiting to get in :frowning: Nice to see the animals though. Was pretty wiped out when I got back, but had a nap and a coke to try to restore myself.

Howdy Y’all! Been a lazy afternoon at da cave. After N.O.L. nappage ensued. No energy or desire to do much of anything except veg. Not that veggin’ is a bad thing.

Well, I did visit the shelter, and decided Bruiser and I aren’t a fit.:frowning: He has some behavioral issues, such as fear biting, that might be trained out. But the shelter folks say he seems to do better with a second dog to run with at home, and I’m not ready for two new pets. So he’s a good dog, we just might not be good with each other. I did visit with a six year old named Sammy, but the poor little guy is so shy.

I will visit the shelter once a week or so keeping my eye out for a good little dog. A min pin would be fun, I’ve known a few of those from the park, but most dogs at the shelter are mixes. It was a surprise, and kind of unusual, when I got Nathan and he was all dachshund and not a mix.

Now it’s a longshot, but Dopers have their tentacles everywhere. If you happen to know of a small dog needing a forever home within, say, 150 miles of NE Kansas, give me a shout out.

Do you have lots of polar bears and penguins?
:dubious:

I did laundry today, I’ve crocheted and watched a couple of movies. Good times… It’s been raining a bit, but tomorrow’s supposed to be nice, as will the rest of the week, with more rain promised next weekend. Of course.

One more day off to go. I like really long weekends.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask. That’s too intriguing a bullet point to pass up.

I’m glad you did

Maybe Ruble until he has grandpa’s body so he can tell the whole story.

Work went well today.:dubious: My truck violently swerved into a parking garage. Since I was in front of Tir Na nOg, and tonight was the second to last night:( , I had a couple of pints with friends.

Keep looking ,you’ll find the right pup.

“Granddad went zombie, so all I have is the headstone, till I find him”

flytrap There were quite a few penguins.

They have this cutie at the shelter here, but I think it’s more than 150 miles to Kansas

Nevermind the links, they go to the main page. On page two of the dogs there are Fabio and Boomer who are cute. Fabio just showed up and if I hadn’t already sent a deposit in I may have considered him.
Lovebugs is cute too, but he has to go with Tank.

Since you asked nicely, the new MMP is here
