Home from lunch with my friend. We had a nice visit. She told me about the plans for her son’s first birthday party. She and her mother are carving and painting refrigerator boxes to make a “western town” for all the little ones to play in. Complete with saloon and jail! I think it’s such a fun idea! She has about 60 people coming, with probably 25-35 kids. :eek: I bought him a present - its a train made of stackable wooden blocks that rolls. Very cute!
Poor Mr Rebo had a flat tire on his route today. Set him back 2-1/2 hours on an already long trip. He’ll be late tonight.
It’s my last day of vacation. Boo! It’s been nice and relaxing, though. My house is clean, too!

So let me tell you about my shitty afternoon.
My grandparents were supposed to pick up the dogs from the groomer once I called them to let them know the dogs were done. So, I called the house. No answer. I called the cellphone. No answer. Repeat 5x. I called my dad and he left work (he was much closer to home) and came home to look for them. They weren’t here. He went and picked up the dogs and brought them home and went back to work. Upon his suggestion, I called my grandma’s hairdresser and there they were. They had left their cellphone in the truck.
We were very lucky how this turned out, but I am fearful of what is yet to come.
Oy, Sticky. I feel your pain. I really do.
On a happier note, off to see Despicable Me! Can’t wait.
Yay! Got an actual update up on my website. And finally uploaded the stuff to my mom’s site that I was supposed to.
Finally home from the eye doctor. The only thing that changed was the reading portion of my bifocals, which is good. I have so many other potential issues that a small adjustment to a lens prescription is nuthin.
BTW, on the trek home, Swampus gave me a dingaling <snerk>, and said a phone cable near his house was cut, so he has no land line or Intarwebs for the moment. He also wanted me to say he’s not sitting by his pool, putting on high-falutin’ airs, and snubbing y’all. Yeah, right. I got a toll bridge for sale, too. 
ETA: Took a look at the fox. He’s a little ripe to be doing anything but turning into worm or buzzard food. I think I’ll be taking it for a one-way ride in my pickup down a very long logging path…
What? swampy without internet? That’s too awful to ponder.
I am trying to print something from the iBook and it doesn’t want to.
Grrrr.
Gotta switch laptops to print, I guess.

We’re already up and at a hamfest in Pennsylvania. There’s not much going on here but my breakfast of sausage gravy and biscuits with a diet coke was only $1.50!!
your breakfast reminds me of what, in college, we called “the dieter’s lunch”: fries, cheesecake, and a diet soda.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ and gots my intranetz back! Like BBBobbio said a major cable, actually two of ‘em, got cut yesterday mornin’ and I was sans intranetz and home phone until about eight this mornin’. That’s when I got a call from att lettin’ me know everything was workin’.
And yes I did lounge at the pool. When it’s a hunnert and three degrees out that’s the place to be!

I didn’t sleep very well, but I’m awake now and have lots to do.
I’ve got a shower to go to tonight, so I need to wrap the presents and find a card. It occurred to me yesterday that I should have thought to knit a blanket. Baby is supposed to be here in August, so I still have some time.
Off to contemplate the day…and caffeinate.

I’ve been productive! bought an a/c, a printer, and a case of Trident Layers. Later, I’m going out to Despicable Me and dinner.
It’s been a fantastic morning for Clan Havoc. (That’s our family.) My BIL has LEFT THE BUILDING!!! Yes, the unproductive, noncontributing thorn in my side is gone. Our son is moving over into his old room, so our two FINALLY get their own rooms again.
We don’t have a pool, so we’ll just go to the store. Swampy, glad to see you’re fixed.
