Yeesh… you know the MMP is getting weird when I feel like my presence yesterday could have had a moderating effect on the TMI levels!
**Ivory **-- hope your head is much better than yesterday! (Oh, confound it… can’t resist: “How’s the head?” :p)
**Cutie **-- haven’t had a chance to check out your thread, but it does not sound like a happy situation – I’ll have to go look, even if it’s only to read retroactively!
What’s it with the Jibberish geek-speak!? And I thought the Hebrew/French stuff was out there… :o
Hope y’all are enjoying your Sunday’s ('cept for Dotty, who’s slaving like I am. **Dotty **-- just a few more days and you’ll be free of this job!
{{{CutiePie}}} I just hope that whatever happens it works out to be the best thing for you.
Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. It’s uber muggy outside this mornin’. Even more so than usual for down heah. I got a little sweaty just walkin’ out to get the paper at six thirty a.m. I’m hopin’ that means storms are comin’ in later. Usually it does.
Ok, tummy is rumbly so I suppose I should feed it brekkies. Cereal, scrambled aigs and toast sounds good this mornin’.
Nat was awake and crying with cramps and diarrhea (can’t spell, too little sleep) on and off all night. He seems quite cheerful now, but he’s generally cheerful in the mornings no matter what. Going to nurse him lots and keep an eye on him today.
I was so cranky when I came home today that I was afraid to open my mouth. My mom was a saint and got me dinner without a word. There are perks to living at home.
Well, when I got here it was 82F inside. Now I’m working in virtual darkness (it’s very dark outside because it’s raining), I’ve got both hood fans on and another jet engine sounding fan above the door running… It’s 84F.
The a/c people will be out tomorrow. They could come out today but it would cost about 50 percent more due to it being the weekend. I told the guy that as long as it was NO LATER than tomorrow that it would be ok. Otherwise, I’ve got to worry about the damn coolers and freezers failing.
Whose idea was it to run a small business, anyways? :smack:
ETA: I had the weirdest dream… I’ve been up since 5 am as my hubby went to play golf this morning and I couldn’t fall back asleep. Well, around 8:30 Ia dozed off reading, on the couch.
I dreamed (apparently) that I woke up and decided to check the Dope and teh computer was acting all wonky. I couldn’t get the image on teh monitor to look right, so I decided to go up stairs and use my laptop.
Well I got up and heard a big CRASH!!! It was at that moment I actually woke up and realized the cats had knocked a glass of water onto the floor. It was only then I realized that I hadn’t been awake all along, checking the boards and trying to fix my computer.
I’m waiting on the coffee to finish brewing. Later, we’re going out to breakfast.
After breakfast, we’re supposedly going to wash and paste wax my rig. I hope so, I’d really like to get some chores accomplished today.
I’m going to check on tne coffee. Hugs and smooches everyone.
Actually, it was my problem with the M$ update interfering with Zone Alarm (and a bunch of other third party apps), not Mork’s, Dotty. But that’s okay. Why did you feel the need to do a complete system backup before doing a restore, though? If you go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools, there’s a restore option there that only takes 5 minutes and doesn’t create any issues with data files. Saved my a$$, that’s for sure. Plus Zone Alarm sent out its own patch day before yesterday.
You work at least part of all seven days a week, Haze? No wonder you’re exhausted! But yay for Mom. Moms can be nice to have around.
Hey, I didn’t start the geek-speak, I just responded! And that wasn’t my favorite STNG episode – that distinction is reserved for The Inner Light, which I still cry over – but it’s fun for confusing the non-geeks amongst us.**
Here’s hoping your AC gets fixed quickly and cheaply, Pie!
If I forgot anybody, you know the drill!
Today will probably be a quiet, lazy day. At least I hope so. I need to finish this job, get a bit of work done around the house, and maybe watch a little TV or something equally strenuous. I couldn’t get to sleep until ridiculously late last night even though I was lying in bed, so I’m definitely not at my best today. So a quiet day it is.
I seem to have stumbled onto a Geek Convention–I have no clue what any of you are talking about. [sub]no, no, please don’t clarify it for me. thanks[/sub]
Back from grocery store where the bagger put my stuff in plastic and THEN into my canvas hold alls–I thought I caught her, but some of them escaped me. And I forgot my camera (to get developed so I can scan pics of my garden) AND my coupon for $10. :smack:
Now I have to make a second trip. This does not sit well with Environmental Eleanor, who is a stern task-mistress these days. Bah.
Too bad about the A/C, Pie–they say trouble comes in threes… maybe your [del]demon[/del] guardian angel didn’t get the memo?
::yawn:: off to work. Kept getting woken up last night by a vibrating phone on my nightstand, a friend of mine lost his back-door V card and was trying to get a hold of me at 3 something in the morning to tell me about it.
I love the TNG stuff. It’s too late to join in, though. Oh well.
yawn I slept late. I needed it. I’m still stressing out, but I feel a bit better today. I too plan a quiet day. I also fully admit to wanting you here to help me get through all this, MamaTigs, but I can manage. It’d be nice, though! Sure you can’t make a side trip from Wisconsin?
Broken AC sucks. I don’t have it or need it here, but this is about the first time in my life I’ve been in that situation. Here’s to having it fixed quickly and cheaply! {{{{{Pie}}}}}
