The weather here is painfully humid. The ten minute walk from my parents’ house to the subway station leaves me sweating [del]like a whore[/del] profusely.

[del]6) wash and put some dishes away[/del]
7) other stuff I’m forgetting but will add later.(I know I’m still forgetting stuff, but nothing else pressing has occurred to me.)
Looky, it’s Haze, twice in one day! Yay!
Brother’s visit involved chatting for maybe an hour. He’s leaving at 4:30 because he’s flying out to New York. I’m sure I’ll be getting up the first time at 4:30 as well. I’m hopeful that I’ll get to go back to sleep quickly, though.
Hi Roo!!!
GT
::awkward:: McUNE’s a gurl? Tell me at least that LOUNE is a boy so that I’ll have some basis on which to have been confused.
swampy, I realize how important this year is to my future, and have already made plans to (::gasp:
not work full time during it, which will be the first time since freshman year that I’ve held down a part-time job. For those of you keeping track, I was actually working two jobs for a large chunk of last year, and my grades reflected that.
No promises on staying out of trouble in LR though, I have enough problems with that now
But my living arrangement is hopefully going to be renting a room from a bear couple I know that lives right outside Little Rock - it’d be about a 15 minute commute to class each day, and then if I can transfer to the Wal-Mart that I want to transfer to, it’s practically across the street from the house. And I’m sure I can find ways to get into trouble at home that wouldn’t require me driving all the way to LR
Also, what is the deal with me and drugs? The Valium didn’t really help at the dentist’s office, and the Vicodin didn’t even knock me out but for about 2 hours, and I’ve been tired all day anyway. Now I’m trying ibuprofen (ssh! Don’t tell my doctor because I’m not supposda have it), but there’s still some dull throbbiness.
And on TOP OF EVERYTHING, my roommates invited me to go drink with them tonight, but I’m both super broke, and had my teef worked on today.
And on a closing note, I have a recipe to share.
Chaoticbear’s PB&B sandwich
2 slices of bread
Peanut butter (preferably the unsweetened all-natural kind)
A few slices of bacon
Cook the bacon however you see fit. Fold or break it into bread-sized pieces. Apply peanut butter to one slice of sandwich, add bacon and other piece of bread, and consume.
Now I wish we had more bacon.
We’ve returned from the stores to get my daughter slacks, shoes and blouses for work.
Since the clothes will be trashed in no time (she’ll be working the deli section of Safeway), I figured we’d go to Ross. Ugh! That is the last time I’ll go there. We did end up with a couple of pair of slacks, but we couldn’t find a single white blouse. On top of that, someone had literally peed in the dressing room next my daughter’s. Worse, they peed on clothes in there. WTF!!! That is just disgusting!
Next, we hit Payless Shoe Source and found some comfortable black shoes for her to wear to work. We also bought her some black footie socks.
After that, we hit JC Penney where we found a couple of white blouses for her, a new pair of slacks and a cute sleeveless white blouse that I can wear with my new slacks. So, I now have one dress I can wear to work, and two pair of slacks that fit. The rest are too big and I have to pin them in interesting ways so they stay up.
Hubby is on his way home and is going to pick up a pizza. Huzzah! I don’t have to cook!
Pie, I do believe it was Mama Tiger that bought a new bra online.
Hi Haze!
Well, I didn’t finish my list, but I spent some time this evening with #2 son, so it’s all good.
And we finally had some rain. Yay!
Night, all.
Morning all. About to go get ready for work.
You bears are gonna have to enlighten us about the naughty CBT, 'cause all I could come up with was ChaoticBearThreesome!
Okay, off to the showers with me …
Ooh. . . NICE!!
:hugs Haze back:
:thumbs nose at Lunch:
(to Lunch) See what happens when you ignore me?! You miss all the hugs.
Back to Haze. . . if I read your schedule right, you have a big gap between 10 am and 1 pm that’s just perfect for posting on the MMP. And it’s right around my time between around 6-8 pm. Jus’ sayin’.
Of course, Lunch is asleep around that time because he’s all slothful like that.
Dotty, I only wish it stood for Me Threesome. (Swampy, what are you up to? ;))
Ask me in a couple of months when I go to Southern Decadence…
But what they’re getting at is CBT = Cock and Ball Torture. More specifically than that, I’ll let google be your teacher.
Hey, that was for me! Come over here and gimme that hug!
I mean, we know **Haze *doesn’t swing that way! Right!? So she must have been using you as a courier
It’s my fault you’re all up and about at times when you could be in bed, too?
Change your schedule around and join me
**Taters **-- I don’t think I’ve congratulated you yet for your daughter’s job!
::Waves back at Herbs::
Rigs – yay on fame!
Pie – glad it’s not something serious. Good luck with the inspection.
GT – hope your toes isn’t hurting too much. Need somebody to kiss it and make it better?
Looks like now **Ivory **is MIA. Miss you too
Me, I got nuttin’ this morning…
Hi night shift -
I was on a “nature call” and not at all sleepy so I thought I’d stop by. Whuzzzup?
The toilet seat?
(d&r)
:: whaps Nooner with a spare trout someone left lying around ::
mmmm. stinky.
back to bed for me.
Nighty-night! Sweet dreams!
Well, it could; the Na[sup]+[/sup] is neutral and the HCO[sub]3[/sub][sup]-[/sup] is both basic and acidic.
You get the buffering effect because HCO[sub]3[/sub][sup]-[/sup] can form an equilibrium involving H[sub]2[/sub]CO[sub]3[/sub], CO[sub]2[/sub], CO[sub]3[/sub][sup]2-[/sup] and the water system. Depending on how much of each you start with, the point where the pH “tries to stay” will be different.
If you start with an acidic system and add bicarbonate (got tired of subs and supers) to it, the bicarbonate will act as a base, becoming carbonic acid which in turn can separate into carbon dioxide and water. If you start with a basic system and add bicarbonate, the bicarbonate will act as an acid, becoming carbonate.
I took 3 years of H.S. Chem, plus 2 years of Undergrad Chem… all your words and symbols make sense to me, I can almost parse the meaning, but the end result is “Uh, OK, if you say so…” :o
I’m getting old, too…
(Either that, or the trout I took to the noggin’ earlier has me addled… Gee, thanks, Dotty! :D)
Sure… Blame it on the trout.
MMMMMMMMM… PB&Bacon… If you grill the bacon, then grill the sammich after you put the bacon and pb on, ya got heaven between two slices of bread I tells ya! donkeybear come on down…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I have managed my mornin’ commute and will soon commence workin’. What I need to get done I can get done by early afternoon if’n I get started. YAY!!! So I am gettin’ to work as soon as I finish postin’. Well, I do need to eat sump’n first. For some reason peanut butter and bacon sounds good…
Later Y’all!
Awake. Just barely. I actually managed to fall asleep again just after the little brother left and didn’t wake up until the alarm went off again.
Off to get ready for work.
Is it Firday yet?
GT
You’re not supposed to take trouts to the noggin’, you’re supposed to eat 'em. Silly Lunch, he doesn’t know how to eat!
No, GT, it’s humpday. Sorry.
Why do 90% of projects (I have only been in about a dozen projects, so the % may actually be higher) include a point where Costing says “you operations folks will be tracking costs for everything, you’ll do it our way, we’re not telling you what our way is, and you’ll be doing all the footwork”? We’re currently at the stage where Operations cordially asks “are you nuts?”
