A culinary tip for Mountain Dew junkies

Don’t eat ginger snaps and drink Mountain Dew right afterwards. At least, not without getting the ginger flavor out of your mouth first. Trust me on this.

Curiously enough, eating ginger snaps prior to Dew didn’t taste so bad.

Didn’t you just do the same thing in different words? Or did I miss something.

Er, Dew before ginger snaps isn’t so bad, I mean. Sorry, still recovering from the shock.

And never, ever, drink Mountain Dew while eating a banana(nananana). The tastes do not mix at all well. It doesn’t matter which order you do it in, either.

And for goodness sake, do NOT drink Coke and eat Pop Rocks at the same time!

Also bad:

Orange Juice and toothpaste

Chocolate bars and Coca-Cola

Coca-cola and venison isn’t too palatable. Ick.

Try to imagine the horror that is washing down garlic bread with chocolate milk; yet my daughter does it with aplomb.

In the cafeteria one day, one of my friends really wanted some hot chocolate with marshmallows. The hot chocolate dispenser wasn’t working, though, and they don’t usually have marshmallows.

Crappy coffee with chunks of tofu in it is not, apparently, a viable substitute for hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Well, toast and milk go together reasonably well, and both chocolate and garlic make everything taste better, therefore chocolate milk and garlic bread will taste even better, right?

Right?

N.b.: Come to Gilroy at the end of July and try the garlic ice cream!
I’m still too scared to try it.

Listen up, because I’m only going to say this once.

You can all thank me for it later.
