A Doper in a Reasonably Priced Car.... (Forza 4)

Inspired by Top Gear’s “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment, I figured we could have our own little challenge here…

and since Forza 4 for the 360 has both the Top Gear test track AND the Suzuki Liana and the Kia Cee’D…

…I see three mini-events on the Top Gear Test Track (full circuit)

The basic rules are;
No “Rewind”
No assists other than ABS, as most “RPC” have it now
Simulation steering
Manual transmission (both of Top Gear’s RPC are manuals)
One practice lap
Start from a dead stop

Event One; drive the TGTT in the Suzuki Liana, record your time
Event Two; drive the Kia Cee’D, record your time
Event Three; drive your car (or it’s closest approximation), record your time

Your car can be either your current or any of your past cars that are in the game, for me that would be the Dodge SRT-4 (I owned a Neon, which the SRT-4 is based on) and the Saturn Ion Redline (I own a base model Ion-2)
Event One; Liana results 1:53.089 seconds
Event Two; Cee’D results 1:52.057 seconds
Event Three; Saturn Ion results; 1:42.195 seconds

Bonus Event; Dodge SRT-4 results; 1:39.568 seconds

Comedy Event; AM General Hummer H1; 1:59.775 (at least 1/4 of this was off-road, and the Hummer tagged the tire wall near the 747  )

Updated times now that I’m familiar with the TGTT…

Liana; 1:48:11 (faster than Roger Daltrey or Patrick Stewart)
Cee’D;1:48.70 (faster than Jeff “must go faster, must go faster” Goldblum)
Ion; 1:34:31 (faster than a Mini Cooper S, Ford Focus ST, and Fiat 500 Abarth)
SRT-4; 1:33:40 (faster than a '07 Honda Civic Type R, VW R32 Golf, and Caddilac CTS-V first generation)

Just one practice lap? I think the stars get five practice laps with The Stig instructing them.

If I had the game I would totally do this, but regrettably I’m not much into driving games. The one test lap seems like an odd restriction though. If you own the game and you like the show, chances are you’ve done quite a bit of laps on the test track.
