A Festivus MMP For The Rest Of Us

Blurf I guess I did not post today, Losing it. Not much to report. Hubs is back and I am to meet him at the airport so he can drop off his rental and get a ride home with me.

Sleepy so I foresee an early bedtime tonight. Throat is still a little sore but whatever.

Agreeing with you, even on something as obvious as Seinfeld is distressing.

We used to call Seinfeld a “2 drink minimum” show. It required at least 2 drinks to find the humor in it.

Time to stagger around the house. I’m supposed to.

Glad I’m not the only one here who doesn’t get the appeal of Seinfeld. I don’t even like his standup - when he comes on the SiriusXM Comedy channel, I’ll switch to something else. He’s just not funny.

On the other hand, Jim Gaffigan cracks me up! His standup, that is. His series was stoopit.

I just finished wrapping the packages we’re taking to FL - our two $10 gifts and our white elephants. There’s some stuff that needs to come out of the trunk before we pack. I need to vacuum out the trunk, too. It got kinda cruddy when I brought home some plants… last fall… Yeah, I know. :stuck_out_tongue:

How are you feeling Sunny. Sore? Druggy? Better?

I’m glad that you have qualified caregivers during your recovery sunny!

I’m up for the feat of strength if endlessly throwing a rubber bone for a small dog to retrieve. :stuck_out_tongue:

I sold about a dozen cards at the craft marketplace yesterday. Now I’m putting everything away so that I can return my tote to laundry room duty later this evening.

I am feeling medicated, on a schedule. If I missed the schedule I am feeling as though someone tried to open me from the middle. I watched one of the Lord of the Ring movies after I woke uo. For a day or so I was absolutely convinced that Elrond had performed the surgery and that it was our secret and I was not to tell anyone. I am a little less loopy than I was, but I definitely should not be buying anything. (or probably not posting anything.)

Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the church house. We had a good crowd and as usual ‘twas a ton o’ fun. Nite nite time shall be shortly however as we’s tahrd!

Sunny glad you are on the mend. Get better soonest.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Sunny, you’re making better sense than some of our MMP’ers (modesty forbids me pointing them out).

Maybe it’s an MMP thing, but I never once saw the humor in “Seinfeld”. I might occasionally have laughed at something on “Friends”, but I can’t remember watching Seinfeld all the way through.

Got a couple special deliveries, one expected and one not. Expected was the new TV controller, but two days earlier than they had advised me. Nice. Unexpected was a (sizeable) check from a friend I loaned money too many years ago. I never expected to get it back (and frankly, knew that going in, but he’s a friend and had a dire need) but there it is. I’ll put it in the bank tomorrow.

So life was actually interesting here at Casa Rat for a Moanday. Rain is expected most of the day tomorrow, so normal slothful activity will be resumed.

What a nice surprise Metal Mouse.

Mornin’ all

waves athelas plants over Sunny

Progress is slowly being made with boring bits of course-irk. There’s not actually a lot, but I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to be doing with some of it. I think I shall just do a bit today, then try and finish off the present shopping.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 73 and cloudy for the day. The rain MetalMouse will get today we will get tomorrow accordin’ to TWPTB. We shall see. I have a dentist appointment this mornin’ and shall accomplish at least some laundry today. We shall sup upon beast stew and cornbread. I took the stew outta da freezer and put it in da fridge last night. This will be easy and tasty. I am also expectin’ a delivery of meds via FedEx this afternoon. They said afternoon, not mornin’. Watch ‘em attempt to deliver while I’m at t he dentist. I have to sign for this so here’s hopin’ they really do mean afternoon when I’ll be back at da cave.

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then purtification must commence bein’ as I am goin’ about the public.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

I am losing my mind. Seriously. I woke at 3 of the AM (dammit) and I lay there trying to remember when I retired. Then I was trying to remember when I worked at my various post-retirement jobs - there have been 5 of them, so the confusion is probably understandable. I finally gave up and decided to read till the alarm went off.

Methinks it’ll be a freekin’ long day. Dammit.

Looking at the weather forecast, we’re promised upper 70s/low 80s when we’re in Ocala, then we come home to a high of 32° F!!! I am not impressed. But as long as precip holds off, I guess I’ll be OK. From what I can tell, our travel days should be dry, so there’s that.

Last night, I wrapped our $10 exchange gifts and our white elephants. We’re hoping to be rid of a lamp that FCD’s folks passed to us as well as a popcorn can full of ballcaps. Years ago, we traded traditional gift-giving for the cheap gift swap as part of a game, and our daughter added the white elephant aspect to it. So it should be fun!

Happy Tuesday!

Foggy morning here, the rain is expected sometime late in the morning hours. We’ll see.

Otherwise sloth is predicted.

I’m all purtified to go visit the dentist. Plus I have a load of laundry all washed, dried, folded and put away. Nice clean undies. YAY!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Afternoon hockey today.

If I hadn’t gotten the jump on things, that would have been another Grievance to air.

A day of sinning?
But cool on the payback.

Feel better, Sunny.

Afternoon, mumpers! I had an appointment at the eye horsepickle this morning so didn’t get in to work until about 11.30am, then we went out for our office hexmas lunch so precisely no work has been achieved today.

Oh well, I am saving myself for the gym tonight, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

Feel better soon, Sunny!

OK – maybe its the season and all that but ------- for Flytrap I am thinking more Xmas and Santabot. But that could just be me.
And if we’re talking tall poles my choice would be Margo Dydek.

Saw bits and pieces of one episode; that was enough. Best of the West was much better written and performed than that one by far. Even if I ended up stuck with 500 pounds of weasel meat.

(episode 4 flashback)

Any time I feel like that I immediately want to find some heavy equipment to operate. But I usually settle for my cannon.

I believe there is a Seinfeld quote for every situation. My all-purpose line is “People. They’re the worst.” I use that almost every day.
