A Festivus MMP For The Rest Of Us

OK – I seem to be caught up. The double yesterday turned into two 3-and-outs with me basically napping in the car for an hour and a half. But the weather was upper 40s so that wasn’t bad. Most of the snow is melted but there is just enough ice happening in places that I am thinking car more than bike. Two more doubles left (tomorrow and Friday) and then my adventures through Da Jungle go more back to normal.

I have accomplished the dentist, N.O.L. and another load of laundry. Now if FedEx would just show up. Trackin’ says my meds are on the truck for delivery. I prefer nappage but will await FedEx alas.

Will they not leave packages at the door in your neighborhood?
I walked away from an accident this morning…literally.
Light turns green & I start to cross. Box truck going the other way turns right, but that’s okay as I’m not that far thru the pedestrian crosswalk yet. The SUV behind him also starts to turn right, but she stops when she sees me in the crosswalk. The car behind her didn’t. It was only a minor fender-bender as it was the third car in line from a complete stop but I was officially not involved so I kept going.

White elephants are awesome! I hope you guys have some groud rules though. I’m still bitter about the year I got UNIX manuals, out-of-fate UNIX manuals.

Clean undies are a good thing.

Thank you for managing to avoid a grievance. We’re all happier.

I could see that. Probably a bad idea in my case, but I could see it.

Nice shirt!

**Sunny **- there are no rules - it’s all about silliness. I just hope we don’t end up with the same lamp - it’s pretty hideous!

FedEx delivered. YAY!!! Spidey I have to sign for delivery for the meds. I am hopin’ one day the pharmacy from whence the meds come (I get 'em free so I shouldn’t complain, I guess) will decide that delivery by US mail is an OK thing.

Home. Leftover stew and fresh Eyetalian bread for supper. Pepperidge Farm Chocolate cake for dessert.

**FCD **had a 3:30 meeting in my building - no idea when he’ll get home. But supper’s nuke-able and it can be ready pretty quick.

Two more work days, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be off all next week. I finished a bunch of Tim’s stuff and no one else has much that needs to be done, so sluggage shall ensue. The calm before the storm, methinks…

We have supped upon beast stew and cornbread. 'Twas good. Chillage now ensues. I want chawklit cake but not enough to go out and get it so I shall suffer. Woe. Alas.

I’m glad that your friend is doing well enough to pay old debts metal mouse.

Were you expecting to be involved in an accident swampy?

Today was a gray day. Not just the weather, but at irk. My boss, who just came back from leave to care for an elderly parent, announced that he is taking a position as a consultant with the company to return to Wisconsin to care for his father. :frowning: He later told me that he wouldn’t be in until lunch tomorrow because he had to have his cat put down (elderly with kidney failure). With all of the other changes, this one saddens me the most. We will have an interim supervisor who, until now, has been in the Finance department upstairs. I have to interact with her in that position, but I have no clue how much she knows about the operations end that we have to deal with.

When I got home from irk, FedEx had left the order of Nelson’s food, a new toy and toothbrushes and the USPO one of my Amazon packages. Now all I’m waiting on is the rest of Amazon and a tablet charger cable from :eek:Wally World:eek:

Ran, only 4 tonight. Dinner shall be leftovers - flank steak & other stuff. Then I gotta go out for a bit, do some irk, & be in bed in time to get up before I go to bed.

Both Emily and I posted in the wrong MMP today. Why didn’t someone tell us?

Anyway, the tree is fluffed and decorated and was pronounced the prettiest tree we ever had. Now I get to wrap prezzies for cat, dog and hubby. I want cash or a new car.

We had hamburgers for suppage. It will get us by until the next one. Now for beddie bye.

Oops. Don’t know how that happened. I’ll be more careful in the future.

So I went out watched the Canes game. Want to impress the new owner ,guys.

Oh, he’ll be amped to get that!

Well I posted first bumping it so it was all my fault.

Does your dad dance a jig on your grave though?

wails I didn’t know! wahhhhhh!

You are a Very Good Wife.

I walked to the second corner! Woo-hoo! I am the Boss! Tomorrow I will go. All. The. Way.

Up, (somewhat) sheveled, sustenanced, & already out. It’s gonna be a loooong day!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 75 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. It did rain some overnight. Today I shall go to the Pubic Sto’ for geezer day and attend a brunch at ten-thirty this a. of m. We shall sup upon grilled salmon, steamed asparagus, baked N.O.T. and rolls. The Pubic Sto’ has a sale on salmon filets so I shall purchase a couple for grillage.

Sunny yay for the walk!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify if I am to go about the public today. Rah.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Spidey - cool shirt indeed, I think I deserve one of those! And buns of cinnamon, of course, since 'tis the season

There are only five of us in the office today so it’s very quiet, not quiet enough for me to avoid a meeting that I didn’t really want to go to. Next up is the “Professional Services Festive Forum” which I also don’t care to go to. Then a leaving presentation for a colleague who’s retiring, I’ll miss her because she has been my go-to person for a lot of things over the years. We’re due a team meeting today too, but our manager is off sick so I think we’ll be skipping that one.

Pub night tonight though, that’s something to look forward to. My turn to cook tonight too so it shall be meatballs and sketties 'cos that’s what I want to do.

Looks like the county finally approved the company’s new building - an engineering and manufacturing facility. Sadly, I’ll probably never work there - no way it’ll happen before June. Ah well…

Tomorrow is our group’s holiday lunch as well as FCD’s last day at work here. So instead of being an employee, he’ll be a contractor to the contractor. Then on Firday, we’ve got the gawd-awful drive to FL. ugh. Not looking forward to all day on I-95.

But for now, I need to get thru today. So far so good. Happy Wednesday!
