A Festivus MMP For The Rest Of Us

Yes, yes, but calling them up and repeatedly demanding, “What? What!!?” is more like twelve. Dogbut and Spiderboy should excel.

dammit!

Worked, came home, walked Gordie. It feel like Saturday.

Nor do I intend to.:p:D

Alex Catt likes to annoy Gordie by licking his foot.:dubious:

:frowning: Sorry, Sunny. Been there, done that, and hope the antibiotics kick its ass.

flytrap, you mean Chickasaw Bluff? cannons chickasaw bluff memphis - Bing

Dang sunny! :frowning:

Pet sibling rivalry is always fun. I remember one time when Ava was more free-flight than we can let her be now. We had a senior citizen cat who had never had much hunting drive, so the bird was in no danger from Felix. She could even land on him and he didn’t react much.

Well, except the time she landed on him and dropped a large birdie bomb on his side. He still didn’t attack her, just gave her a hilariously disgusted look, then glared at me to come deal with it. He wasn’t any more impressed by my laughing while I was cleaning him up.

Mornin’ all, I am orfe into the internetless Northern wilds. Have a splendid Christmas all!

Happy Christmas Nut!

HAPPY FESTIVUS!
In honor of the holiday, a donation has been made in your name to The Human Fund. “Money For People”
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Hockey after work.

Happy Internetless Christmas, Nut!

That’s just the Mrs Plants tuning you out. However, I think you have a splendid idea; please PM me your phone # so we can coordinate making these calls. Doggio, you wanna call him late at night or early in the AM?
Between Wed’s 20½ hr day & Thurs’s many miles & Caroling Run, yesterday I felt like I had been run over by a [del]freight train[/del] steamroller. Up & feeling more three-dimensional today. Waiting [del]for the dryer to dry[/del] (ETA: it just finished), the rain to pass (a bit) & the store to open. Long run today or tomorrow? Decisions, decisions, decisions.

That may be it, although I recall small wheels and short barrels, behind a rampart on a bluff very close to the river. Thanks! I’ll check it out next time I’m in Memphis.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 57 out and foggy with a predicted high of 77 and maybe rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. After today temps will get more seasonal. Christmas Day is supposed to be cooler but N.O.S. No plans at al for the day. I have no desire to go anywhere especially any stores. The horror! Thus major sloth shall ensue. I do need to make the cheese ring so perhaps I shall do that today.

All who are travelin’, have a safe trip.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification must occur at some point I suppose.

HAPPY FESTIVUS!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

We’re in Ocala -got here about 8 last night after leaving home at 4AM! Traffic in SC, as usual, sucked. So you can stop fretting - We’re fine!

FCM, good news. Take a rest day if you can, that’s a long one-day drive

Sunny, bad news. Hope the antibiotics knock it out fast.

Raining and 64F, but like swampy, temperatures are heading downward for Xmas (Austin, where I’m heading, is currently 38F).

Thinking about seeing a movie (Darkest Hour, because I like Churchill) but only movie house with it is on the other side of town. We’ll see.

All y’all take care and have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday/Satisfying Season/Fantastic Festivus/ you get the idea.

Happy Saturday!

It’s an icky rainy 45 degrees outside. It’s supposed to get up to 59 but we shall see.

I’m dreading Christmas Day. Sah-son is already complaining that he doesn’t want to go.

I didn’t know you majored in History MetalMouse. Sah-son got his B in US History.

I hope the atibiotics clear up the infection soon Sunny.
My c-section incision got infected, no fun.

Nettie - I’d been laughing too. Poor kitty.
My cat is mad too because we won’t let him outside anymore. For a long time he hung around the yard too scared of cars and the other cats in the neighborhood to go anywhere. Then he got brave and started roaming the streets so he has to stay in.

Nothing special on the agenda today. Irking mostly, and probably a nap soon. My sleep non-schedule seems to be wake up too early, irk for a bit, take a nap, and then start my day. It works okay until I have to deal with the outside world.

After Christmas I have to deal with a bunch of medical stuff. I have an underactive thyroid, but instead of just giving me a pill the doctor wants to run more tests. He thinks there are some other hormonal imbalances going on. The tests can wait until January though, when my new insurance starts and it’s a better plan.

Happy Festivus!

My feats of strength this year are moving thepuppy crate and dog food back into the laundry room then turning several storage boxes back around.

The other tasks on the list today are to log myself back into the Roku channels (long story, but last evening, one of the guys from our tech center was offering his services for hire and I hired him to set me back up). I also need to change passwords for several accounts, as I had to provide them for him.

Time to get the towels into the dryer and wash up from breakfast. I may or may not purtify to go somewhere today. It’s raining, so not even the dog park is going to happen.

Hi all.

Sorry Sunny; that sucketh greatly.

Oops missred. That sucketh greatly in a different way.

Up since 5, long since fed & sheveled. Another mild day here in paradise. I had had high hopes of snagging some overtime over the holiday weekend. Right now the odds look close to zero on that. Oh well. So instead I shall be home and make merriment. Or overeat and make excrement; sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. Either way shit happens!

I have some ordinary groc-ing to do, and a smart person would do that today, not tomorrow. Other people’s frenzy is best avoided.

Safe and calm travels to all.

Gifts wrapped. I ran out of paper so some are just in boxes. No one will see them but us and we don’t care so there.

I ordered a king size quilt and found out today I got two. Looking back at my account I only ordered one and was only charged for one. I shall do the right thing and send one back.

Also Blurf.

I did ----- this guy.

He approved.

Moom – at least I did get the brontosaurus head for the stairway.

“Bathroom? Up the stairs, past the brontosaurus, red door on the right.”

Naaah – I’m even worse. I do all my dumb stuff stock cold sober! :smack:

Which reminds me of the Electric Amish song
Ho Ho the carolers go
singing First Noel
That karaoke machine
Will cost them a trip to Hell.

and my all-time favorite Christmas song by the Amish Chipmunks

**Spidey** -- next year visit the Santarchy facebook page and borrow all our filthy carols. Trust me ---- it will make it that much more fun.

Hugs your way. I hate antibiotics and sometimes my body does as well. :frowning:
On other news – the first shift yesterday was a 3 and out so I napped in the car. Which was a good thing since TPTB put out too much voluntary time off and the second shift went all 5 hours.

Today for the one extra I’m doing I am wearing my Santa suit with the PPE and all. The vest our original site lead had made for me has a tag across the back saying “BIG GUY”. Fun will be attempted. I have security in an evil plot to make a couple fake security-badge-looking things labeled as “SANTA”. Both of the managers who are working this shift have small children who will be very impressed at the connections mommy/daddy have.
