A Foolish April MMP

Copied/pasted from the MMP started by Baker:

*Gah! I detest knowing my day/week will be so busy, and knowing it as soon as I’m aware that I’m awake, does NOT make the day a good one! I do pity you!

I’ve been up, and moving, since around 4am. I’ve already cleaned the kitchen, and am working on getting laundry knocked out for the day. More cleaning will ensue. Ick.

Happy Moanday, folks.*

So. I’m done with the rest of the cleaning. I’ll soon be finishing up the laundry part of it. I’ve had another coffee break since this was posted, so, I’m almost good to go, again. Deity help me.

FCM, I’m not good with April Fool’s pranks, either. I can’t keep a straight face. I’m just no fun that way, I guess. Have fun cleaning out the shed! I can only wish I had a shed to clean out. I’m still waiting for my husband to finish our shed. It’s a skeleton, at this point. Maybe this summer. I’m not holding my breath, though.

Oh, we’re going to get up to nearly 70 degrees today! It’ll be nice. I’ve already got plans to open ALL the windows. We’ve got a couple of House Wrens trying to build a nest in the tree, or on the porch, depending on where they feel most comfortable. I’m sure they’re the same ones that were nesting in my Pothos plant on the porch last summer. Anyway, they sit in the tree, and squawk at the cats, that are here in the house, and sitting in the windows. House Wrens can be really noisy. Just so you know.

I’ve already begun vacuuming up the Asian Lady Beetles this morning. They make me want to slit my wrists, I swear.

Goodness. I’m all disconnected, and rambly today. Obviously, it’s the severe lack of caffeine. :dubious: Imagine that.

Yeah, but after that start to the morning, I was too grumpy to not just basically start a minirant thread, and the MMP ain’t minirants.

Just called the 'lotment office back BTW, and the person who answered the phone turned out to be the one who sent me the email saying she’d changed the records back in September. I think she was a bit embarrassed… She said that given the circumstances, umm… sorry… don’t panic about paying today, can I pay this week or do I need an extension? They haven’t emailed me invoice details 'cos the invoice automatically cancelled as too long overdue, so they need to get it re-issued by the billing department first.

Anyway, I need to put washin’ on, then away to the bank to pay the rent in before the month end. I shall call in at the plot on the way back and reassure it.

I don’t bother much with April Fool’s jokes either, mostly because I forget all about it.

Nothing much exciting going on here. I would say I’m having to deal with Teh Stoopid but it’s an exchange of emails with someone I’ve dealt with many times before (and I know she spent the weekend with her rellies in Ireland!) so I can forgive her for it today.

Friday was the end of term so it is blissfully quiet on campus today and we have had very few enquiries today. Since it is Moanday and I am not feeling very enthusiastic about irk, I shall spend most of the day entering attendance information because it is easy and repetitive. It needs to be done, thus I shall do it today.

I started 30-Day Shred again yesterday in an attempt to shed a few pounds before I head to Europe at Easter to put it all back on again, so today I am hurting in places I’d rather not talk about.

I’ve never really bothered with April Fools, mostly because I don’t want to get got in return.

I seriously considered a sick day today. But I decided to be a good girl because I’ve only got five weeks left here.

Tomorrow happens to be the birthday of my first wife… which made it an odd day to begin with. Then to be honest I never really liked the idea of April Fools - too often I see the act of ‘fooling somebody’ as inherently cruel so I derive no pleasure in the act of playing pranks.

Yeah I’m boring, and I know it.

**tugig **- I agree with you about making someone look foolish is mean. That’s why I hate hate HATE those TV shows that rely on pranking as their premise. Humiliation isn’t humor.

We’ve made the executive decision that we’re not going to the gym today. Emptying the shed will be our workout - going up and down the slope, carrying stuff, stacking stuff, loading the trailer with crap for the dump - good times!!!

My sister and I went to my brother’s house (over an hour away) yesterday (she drove) and I left my purse there. So now I have to take half a day off work, drive down there (carefully since I won’t have my license) and retrieve my purse. GAH! What a waste of time.

because there are TWO OTHERS!!!

wow - 3 MMPs - see what happens when you don’t post a link in the old one? :dubious:

I’ve messaged the mods to combine the other two MMPs with this one. Let this be a lesson to all y’all who think there’s no point in putting a link to the new MMP in the old MMP. So there. Nyah. :stuck_out_tongue:

also, of course, blurf.

Actually, it’s an ultra-rare triple-merge for the MMP this week. Have fun sorting through the foolishness!

I’ve gotta leave for my dentist appointment in a few minutes.

I can never come up with good pranks. I was highly amused a few years ago when everyone was rickrolling each other, but that’s over now.

Considering the 3 were just about simulposted, links wouldn’t have mattered - we’d have had 3 links. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Moonday!

It looks sunny and breezy outside my window. It’s 41 ad supposed to get up to 60. If it looks like spring, and feels like spring, it could be spring but its more likely that Mother Nature is enticing us to come out so She can dump snow on our heads.

Tomorrow is the house inspection. So far it is still listed as active and that is a good thing.

I have to go to the store today, I am out of food, the dog is out of food and it looks like a good day to go shopping. Not too hot, not too cold and not wet.

I’m not one much for pranks although I do enjoy them. Even when they are pulled on me.

I need to get my fool self to the doctor, I’ve got some issues going on which are way too much TMI but it’s starting to make my life miserable.

Foolishness?? How dare you, sir! Mumpers are never foolish.
Well, mostly never foolish.

OK, sometimes not foolish.

Bah! :stuck_out_tongue:

My downer of the day is that I have to write a check to the IRS for $3221. Then I have to write another check for my estimated taxes. While I’m writing checks I may as well make out one to the MVA to get my news stickers.
On the plus side I have a job and made enough to have to pay taxes, so I guess that’s a good thing since I know so many who don’t have jobs. I don’t have to dip into my house fund either but I’m going to hate to way my checking account will look after the checks clear.

I got an email (with links) from Maryland telling me to sign up for ObamaCare (it’s not what Maryland calls it but it’s got some kind of dumbass long name I can’t remember) which I have already told them repeatedly that I can’t sign up for ObamaCare because their website doesn’t work. I may let that wait until Wednesday. Except today is the 31st. I have to call some life insurance company for my niece. Her bf’s mother died a while back and she had some kind of policy that was supposed to make the mortgage payments and the company won’t pay. He is wussie and won’t stand up to them so I will see what I can do. I’m usually pretty good with these kinds of calls, you have to be polite, firm and repeat what you want over and over like a stuck record until you wear them down.
I know life insurance companies are in business to make money but a deal is a deal, so pay what you own.

Calling in sick. Lack of sleep and apparent symptoms that I’m coming down with something do not combine well with a five-hour retail sales floor shift.

Impeccable logic, difficult as it is to believe.

Philistine.

we weren’t supposed to get snow. The rain was supposed to end yesterday. Someone didn’t get the memo!
