Brekkie for dindin turned out good. Plus easy enough to make and clean up. I have a hunk o’ beast in the slow cooker. N.O.L. tomorrow shall be that, plus steamed baby carrots, lima beans, smashed N.O.T. (with gravy from the beast), and rolls. I can pretty much have everything but the smashed N.O.T. before deheathenization tomorrow and then heat up whilst the N.O.T. are cookin’ and bein’ smashed. Oh and the rolls baked. I am non-cannibal Lector tomorrow for the first lesson. Rah.
Happy Saturday!
We got the backpacks and blankies distributed this morning. My rusty Spanish skills came in handy, as the biggest portion of recipients were non-English speakers. My niece who was supposed to fix my bad haircut today was having a bad day emotionally. She’s beginning the process of divorcing the guy she’s been married to since she was 18. We’re going to try again tomorrow and there are Mexican pastries and dark chocolate involved.
There is ham and sweet N.O.T.s in the oven and broccoli ready to cook on the stove. I’ll add a salad and that will be supper with leftovers for several more meals and the remnents of the ham packaged for the freezer.
Ariel, my red headed mare, stepped on my foot right before our lesson. Yep, same foot she busticated in November. I swore a lot, canceled our lesson, and put her away. She still got carrots and kisses. Took Aleve and have been icing it.
We shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. All this sloth has worn us out.
wetone hope the foot is ok.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
I worked. I drove home. My truck mysteriously sweved off the road and stopped running In fron of Tir Na nOg. Again.
Welcom back, Flipper! And everybody hates the Cheatriots.
I was thinking this.
I am fo;;owing him now.
Hey, I’m not a lumberjack!
I like it. It makes her clothes fall off.:D;)
It sounds as though Ariel came out on top. :dubious:
But are you OK?
90% of the snow missed us and I got my meeting in so all is right with the world. And I got my annual spring trip to Tractor Supply. So I’m happy and several large hammers ahead of the game as well.
Because they were on clearance — that’s shy.
Most of Western Civilization strongly doubts that.
I went to the lavatory, so yeah.
Wonder what she has against that foot, and whether you should consider steel-toe shoes around her.
Step on the foot, you don’t have to carry the woman around, and you still get carrots.
Nice work if you can get it, and if you get it, won’t tell me how.
Just like your dear Pappa. More Butter?
This was my fist thought, too! Does anyone make steel-toed riding boots? Or maybe these??
I like that it’s staying light a bit longer in the evening and starting to get light a bit earlier in the day. The time change in March will mess up the morning again for a while, but what ya gonna do?? I’ve had some cinnamon toast and I’m caffeinating. After **FCD **gets up, I’ll have to stare into my closet and figure out what I should wear to the funeral home. Then I’ll leave around 10:45 - I need to stop for gas and I want to get to the restaurant early to meet my mom and sis.
The only other thing to look forward to later is ironing a few shirts for my sweetie. And I should probably empty the dishwasher - otherwise, I’ll never find where things are put away. Apparently 12+ years isn’t enough for some memories.
Happy Sunday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 35 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 58 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I have been productive this mornin’. I peeled and cubed up N.O.T. for smashed N.O.T. and have baby lima beans and baby carrots cookin’ away as I post. Go Me! We shall deheathenate and afterwards back to da cave where I shall finish up the makeage of N.O.L. After that (well after N.O.L. and cleanup) sloth shall ensue the rest of the day.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
I slept for about 12 hours last night. Guess I was tired.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I need to vacuum, and buy coffee.
Showered, but in a bathrobe till I get dressed to head north. So clothing decision is still to be made.
But I emptied the dishwasher, so there’s that.
61F and raining. Miserable. We have heat though. Lots of homes down here do not have heat.
I have stew beef cooking which will become soup. There shall be cornbread too.
I don’t get enough sleep most nights and when I could sleep in on the weekends it ain’t happening. Now Moanday through Firday I could sleep all day. Wonder what’s up with that? Stupid brain.
Up and caffeinating. At some point today, I’ll likely head an hour north th have da Niece fix the haircut. In between, I’ll prep the breakfasts/lunches for the week, make some homemade tomato basil soup to go with a grilled cheese (the Pubic Sto’ had some fancy cheese BOGO that will pair well with the soup) wash a pair of curtains and work on the craft for the heathen kids for February (another alien themed one). Trying to stay warm too.
Happy Sunday!
It’s cold and N.O.S. outside.
I’d like to know the prediction for next Moonday as I have a dr appt and have to drive down to the armpit. Then I have to go see my mother for her birthday. She’s upset that Sah-son isn’t coming with me, but somebody has to stay home with the dog.
I’ve got clothes in the washer and clothes in the dryer.
I need to decide what to have for lunch and then get to irk.
**Butters ** I’ve been having trouble sleeping through the night. I usually go to bed around 11, sometimes I try to stay up later hoping I will sleep through the night. Then I’ll wake up around 1 and stay awake until 3, sometimes 4. Then I wake up again between 4 and 6. Around 8 I can barely keep my eyes open. If I sit down I’ll fall asleep and sleep until noon. It’s annoying, I feel like I am sleeping my life away.
If it’s not the dog then it’s my bladder, or the paperboy, or sometimes I wake up for no reason.
No wonder I am so grumpy I need some good sleep!
