A Football Follow-up MMP

Leftovers for late dinner. May do something fresh and interesting for lunch/dinner tomorrow. We have an all-hands meeting at Da Jungle next week - word is we will be finding out about new foolishness from HR. I figure my life could get interesting shortly.

I worked. I went to Canes Corner. I had steak. It took 90 minutes to bring me my food. And another ten for the silverware.:dubious: I ended up getting my whole meal comped, so I am glad I got steak this time.

I saw her FB post. I’m sorry.:frowning:

I always remember him from Cannonball Run.

I hates those.

My job waits until all are proficient with new stuff and then, like clockwork,it all changes. With our shitty connectivity it is doubly frustrating. Some one or many someone’s create this busy work to keep themselves busy. Drives me batty it does.

Mornin’ all!

I’m heading off South to go see the course manager for this potential uni course today. Not sure quite what the meeting is, officially it’s to ‘discuss my options’ but I’m not sure if this is going to be simply a “Right, these are the courses available, this is the course centre, here is information” or if this is more of an interview, and basically my chance to talk my way in. I’ve been swotting up a bit anyway, just in case.

It’s only a few hours away, but I’m going to spend the night and have a proper look round the area, it’s in Cornwall, which is nice to visit anyway.

Happy Thorsday all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Hockey after work.

Good luck with the course, Nut!

Something weird about temps in the mid-50s on a January morning. The weirdness will depart soon, tho - sub-freezing lows are on tap in a day or 2. rah.

**Nut **- good luck with your discussion! If I can persuade my spousal unit to do a driving exploration of England and thereabouts, Cornwall is on my must-see list. And not just because of Doc Martin!

I have a few things on my desk to deal with - maybe enough to keep me occupied today, but not much longer. Hope someone has something. Boring days are soooooooo long!

Happy Thursday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 63 and mostly cloudy for the day. We are in for a cool down with lows in the mid to upper 30s and highs in the 50s for a few days. Also it rained last night. I did not know that would happen. I woke to answer the call of nature and heard the rain. Today I shall head over to the church house to assist with packin’ up boxes of stuff for storm relief and probably delivery to one or more of the relief centers. Dindin will probably be from the Pubic sto’. I do have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for fried chikin and the Pubic sto’ has good fried chikin. What I know for sure is dindin will not involve me cookin’.

Nuts good luck with the uni thing.

Sunny just tell Beamer you invented most of the cuss words.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification must commence as one must look presentable to go about the public and the Pubic.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

(((((Moooom))))), sorry to hear about your cousin, even if you weren’t close it is still a shock to the system to know they’re just not there any more.

midget, my black cat (Shadow) is often called Mr Pants, for absolutely no reason at all. It suits him.

Spidey, I have no idea why Philly was removed from the list of potential places to stop on our trip, and 'im indoors is not around to be questioned on it at the moment. I’ll try to remember at the weekend and ask him then. The name 'im indoors comes from a comedy-drama called “Minder” in which one character refers to his wife as 'er indoors, a person who is never seen and the implication is that she’s a bit of a dragon. He’s not a dragon, but since he doesn’t post here, he qualifies as not being seen

Moom, as far as holiday stuff is concerned, we like zoos so an aquarium is close enough. I like museums, we like bars  and just wandering around interesting places where there’s interesting buildings to see. Most of the time we decide we’re going somewhere and then see what there is to do. I’ll suggest that he looks at Baltimore too.

Troublesome minion has been given his marching orders. He is sulking now.

Gloomy, getting colder, and the weather people are using the S-word. Not a happy day for me in general but easily survivable.

I have had one phone call in three hours. Might be time to break out a book.

BooFae, we’ve got America’s First Zoo, an aquarium, a world-class Art Museum, the Franklin Institute (w.here you can be a red blood cell & travel thru a two-story heart!) For the odd & off-beat (think Doggio or even flytrap) we have the Mütter Museum. We also have all of the historical stuff from this country’s founding from when we splintered off from…that country you live in. :o

Lunch! It’s been a weird day at work, but at least I’ve mostly been busy. So there’s that.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a bright and N.O.S. 49 degrees outside.
Not so bad, but it’s the last warm day for a while; the temps are predicted to drop into the 30s.

I’m sorry about your cousin FCM, and it’s not exactly the same thing but I kind of understand the weird feeling. I have a cousin who was murdered and even though we weren’t close and he was much younger, his death was like a cloud hanging over me for a few days.

I agree you should visit Baltimore BooFae. There’s the Aquarium, and also Little Italy (great restaurants) and Fell’s Point (pub crawling).

Good Luck! ** Nuts**

Swampy you sure are racking up the Good Deed Karma Points!

Dumb Cat - he just tried to jump up onto the couch and missed. It’s probably not nice to laugh.

Waiting for the dishwasher to finish so I can get in the shower. Then I have a bunch of stuff to do.

ruble, we had our All Hands this morning. They really didn’t tell us anything most of us didn’t already know.

Good luck, nuts!

sari, cats ARE funny when they do something like that, provided they don’t injure themselves. Especially cats with attitude. :stuck_out_tongue:

The closer to month end it gets, the more crap that lands on my desk.

I finished a heritage scrapbook layout last evening in the studio. Tonight, I’ll clean up and do the drawing for the next project.

Up with fever. I thought I was supposed to being better with my fancy drugs. grump

And also grump.

I think hubby comes home today.

The animals have arrived for sleeping. This may be a plan. We shall see.

That’s *exactly *the feeling - a cloud hanging over me. I’m thinking I should go to the viewing on Saturday. It’s in Pasadena, so not quite to Baltimore. I’ll find out when my mom plans to be there.

Don’t wanna work this afternoon. I’m dealing with fixing stuff my engineer did then changed. It’s tedious and not fun. *wah wah wah!!!

Sunday - the viewing is Sunday… so I’ll be heading up there then.

Howdy Y’all! We packed and delivered boxes of non-perishable food and cleanin’ stuff. Power is bein’ restored to the less devastated neighborhoods and so families are gettin’ back to their homes. That’s at least some good news for some people. I’m sure they’ll be glad to get the food and supplies. One place no one will be goin’ back to is a mobile home park that was flattened. :frowning: FEMA and all that good stuff is here as well.

Dindin will be fried chikin, mac ‘n cheese, green beans, and rolls from the Pubic Sto’. All that needs to be done is heat 'n eat. Easy enough.

{{{Sunny}}} hope y’all get over this soonest.

MOOOOOOM closure is a good thing plus you get family points for attendin’ the viewin’.

Blurf I got a COLA of 1.9 percent. Woo Hoo. Probably the last one ever.

I have stuff to do with no ambition to do it. I went to Kmart and looked around on my lunch break, stopped by the Goodyear place and had them check the air in my tires. I went into the gym here and turned on the TV to news but now there are people in there working out so I am back in my “room”. I guess I will delve into a project since end of month is just around the corner. I want to be home taking a nap.
