Jesus, Mary and Joe Cocker on a stick!
Just Joe Cocker on the stick. I will not tempt the afterlife, just in case I’m wrong.

What does it me…what is an Italian grinder?
For that matter, what is a grander? More grand than what?

yay - dinner. Yes - what’s a grinder? grander? grander grinder?
Maybe just go straight to chocolate
Hate to break it to you, but Joe Cocker died in December; he’s in the afterlife now. :smack:
Aw, Spidey, I was expecting a picture of an Italian organ grinder. I was sure you were that kind of smartass!
Good grief I’m sorry to hear this.
Sliding / falling / crashing down are my nightmare injuries. I had an episode a month ago when I was walking down the stairs outside, hit an ice patch and my right leg flew off the step in an instant. Fortunately my left foot was but a couple inches from landing at the time so I just thumped on the ground, jarring my lower back.
A collapsing ladder in 2011 smashed my left heel.
A slippery condition caused me to shatter my left femur in 2008.
I hates me some slippery stuff.
Intelligent conversation and discussion escapes you, doesn’t it?

C’mon, Mooommm, you’ve met me before. I’m an American smartass! ![]()
When conversing with you, yes, it does. :o
I am sure it is challenging for you.
I shall attempt, er, try to use fewer syllables. Er, words given to the meanest understanding.
Survived work. Found out one of my hockey buddies died unexpectedly.
Sunny, you’re turing into the town Hardy Boy.
giggi , If I was you, I’d glue my feet to the floor.
midget, I’m doing spaghetti, too. Good luck with the music.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN Also medicated. My sinuses feel a whole lot better this mornin’ but I shall continue to take the meds as prescribed until all gone. ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 80 for the day and maybe rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon/evenin’. We did have some tstorms overnight. One woke me up even.
No biggie plans today except the makin’ of chikin sallit. A friend is in town visitin’ today and tomorrow and is comin’ over tomorrow afternoon around twoish. I shall serve chikin sallit (a favorite), spinach sallit, some sort of congealed sallit (another favorite) and brownies. There will be six of us for a late N.O.L. Should be fun just to sit and visit for a while.
Ok, rumbly tummy is hongry and I need more caffeine. Also, I need to get the assortment of chikin boobs and laigs on to roast in the slow cooker so’s I can make chikin sallit this afternoon.
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
Happy Saturday!
It felt warm when I put the dog out, and I think we are done with the rain.
blurf!
I wish I knew why I keep dreaming about my last real place of employment - the gummint job from which I retired. The dreams always take place in the building (which may or may not resemble the actual building) and I’m always walking around trying to find… something. In last night’s version, I was showing someone around. Then it morphed into an episode of Emergency! where Johnny and Roy were using a race car and a rope to pull up a kid who was at the base of a cliff. Then I woke up. The sleeping brain is a wondrous mystery!
If the weather guys are to be believed (yeah, right) we’ve got a sunny and nice weekend - temps in mid-60s both days. That being the case, I’ll be attempting to clear the sticks from the front lawn, and maybe mulch the front garden. And assuming I don’t die in the process, I’ll try a similar activity involving the back yard and those gardens. But first, when **FCD **gets up, we’ll go to breakfast, because WEEKEND!!!
Speaking of **FCD **- his knee surgery is scheduled for Apr 21. As we understand it, they’ll scope his knee and trim away the torn bits of meniscus. His recovery will be determined by when he’s comfortable putting weight on that leg, which means I’ll need to give many stern looks so he doesn’t overdo it. But it’s an outpatient procedure, so at most, he’ll miss 2 days of work. I may have to drive him a few days - we shall see.
Happy Saturday!!
MOOOOOOM if’n you do have to drive FCD to irk, you should wear a chauffeur’s hat and FCD should ride in the back. This would be amusin’.
Chikin is roastin’ away in the slow cooker on the back porch. I feel I have accomplished sump’n. Go Me!
I haven’t accomplished anything this am.
My brain is foggy and I know I should be doing something, maybe unload the dishwasher. That is a mindless task. Then I have to decide - chili, spaghetti, or meatloaf? OAOASO hasn’t paid his share of the phone bill, turn it off or give him more time? Pay off a few bills (no interest) or save the money?
My taxes are done so I need to print them out and write a big ass check to the IRS.
It’s gonna hurt, but no sense in putting it off any longer.

uh…
::looks around for flytrap::
(dammit, he’s here. okay let’s get this over with)
*
BLURF!*
I am not a morning person.
We had a nice breakfast and escaped just before the Hospice Fun Run/Walk people descended upon downtown Leonardtown (I giggle at that - downtown is a couple of blocks around a veterans memorial.) Anyway, the sun is shining and it’s warming up. I’m going to get a rake, some gloves, and my wagon so’s I can start cleaning up the front yard. Good times!
Good morning sunshine!![]()
It’s a glorious morning, it’s a(the last
) hockey tailgating morning!
sari, Chili, off, pay.
