A Game: MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF __ WAS THE ONE WHERE __

I liked the one where they had to fly, but B.A. wouldn’t fly so they knocked him out to get him on the plane, then after they landed B.A. woke up and threatened to beat everyone up.

I also liked the one where Col. Decker and his MPs showed up with lights and sirens blaring but the Team still got away.

My favorite episode of The Deadliest Catch was the one where Edgar complained about Sig and Sig went on a rant about being captain of the boat and everyone complained about the greenhorn.

My favorite episode of American Chopper was the one where Jr. and Sr. had that argument but the bike was still finished.

Was that the one where something really strange happened and Sulu asked Kirk: “How can that be, Cop-tin?”

I think I remember that one! Wasn’t Mikey wearing shorts in that episode?

I remember that one! It was the one where the defendant had to pay $50 and time served, right?

Well I’ll do this properly!

My favourite episode of ST:TNG is “The Inner Light”, where Picard ends up in a parallel life where he ages much faster than he does on Enterprise.

It’s a bit like Narnia or Tom’s Midnight Garden where minutes pass in our world, but years pass in the other. For some reason this episode hit a chord. Plus a like the depictino of the simple village life… reminds me of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin before the fascists arrive

My favorite whoosh was the one where the point of the thread went sailing over the poster’s head like a loud jet engine.

I’ve never seen the shows mentioned in the OP, so they sounded like individual episodes to me! :o

Anyway, my favourite type of thread is the one where a poster doesn’t get the joke and meekly backs away in the hopes that no-one will notice…

Ok, let’s see if I’ve understood this correctly:

My favorite episode of The Prisoner is the one in which Number 2 tries to coerce Number 6 into revealing why he resigned. Meanwhile, Number 6 is trying to escape from The Village.

My favorite episode of I, Claudius was the one in which everyone thought Claudius was an idiot because he had a stutter. Also, Livia was kind of a bitch.

Oh! Oh! Remember that Spartacus one with all the nudity?

I saw that one! It was the one with the cold opener where everything looked normal then something really weird and gross happened. I remember that Walter said some funny things and Peter looked really embarassed. And Olivia kicked arse. I remember Broyles being very intense in that particular episode too.

I remember this episode of NYPD Blue where Sipowicz and his partner solved a murder case in one day. First they collar a suspect who didn’t do it, but he leads them to somebody who might know where the killer is. Then they threaten a bar owner into giving up some relevant information that allows them to arrest the killer, and they get him to confess before he can lawyer up. Even as all this is going down, something tragic is happening in Sipowicz’s personal life.
Plus, there was some mild swearing that seemed scandalous at the time, and somebody showed their bare ass. Very powerful.

I can’t remember the name, but there was a sitcom where the husband was a complete idiot, the kids all made wisecracks, there was an older couple where the wife made impotence jokes, and then the wife resolved the whole situation and wound up telling her husband that she loved him anyway.

I liked that one. Too bad they never play it.

Shodan

What you should have done is claimed that you DID understand the point of the thread, but chose to ironically subvert it. You could have also claimed to be “meta.”

My favorite episode of The Cosby Show was the one where Cliff messed stuff up and wanted to eat junk food, and Claire fixed everything and made Cliff eat salad. And Denise dressed weird, and Rudy was sassy. That was a great one.

Was that the one where Cliff was wearing a sweater with a loud pattern? I think I might remember that one.

My favorite SDMB thread was the one with the badly-worded, but mostly logically-sound, OP which was ignored by the respondents so they can harp about the implications (and grammatical correctness) of one sentence, complete with demands that the OP return and explain themselves. Then another poster said something mildly inflammatory (again!), causing the thread to completely derail and inspire a pitting.

Wait! I remember that one! Did it have a lot of jokes consisting of one of the characters saying something and then doing the opposite?

It was the one where the wife had a really nice rack, too.

My favorite episode of Frasier was when Roz was chassing some guy and Bulldog ws chasing some girl while Fraiser was giving some bad advice to a nutjob caller who was voiced by some celebrity. Meanwhile, at the house, Niles was there talking about how thin Marius was, Daphne was trying to get Martin to exercize, and Eddie was sitting on the couch looking at everybody.

In the end, they were all at a coffeehouse drinking coffee.

What show was that? Sounds like Married With Children but there is no older couple on there.
