Oh my God. Terrible, terrible news. 
This is sorta like the boards equivlent to the worlds Michael Jackson passing.
I’m not saying Q.E.D was like him or comparing the two, I merely mean his passing comes as much of a shocker to me as learning MJ died. I mean. Q.E.D? That guy? The guy who knew so much about a lot and a little about everything? The one always getting a lot of flack simply because he was overly smart and sometimes seemed sure of himself to take credit for it? Surely it can’t be that poster… that’s really sad…

I came to MPSIMS, I scrolled down, I–WTF?–I scrolled back up–Q.E.D.? What kind of tasteless joke–?
Wow. QED and I spent some time at each others’ throats, but in an odd way that was one of the things that define (defined?) this place for me. I’ve noted his absence recently, wondering where he was. Never thought I’d miss someone with whom my standard form of exchange was argument, but when it comes down to it I’d probably rather argue with QED than almost anyone else on the board. 
He will be missed. He HAS been missed; I’m sad that his anticipated return has been thus delayed.
I hope his family reads this and understands that, like anyone else, he was a complex personality, but he made a distinct place for himself here which can never be filled. There will always be a QED-shaped hole in the Dope.
