Gnrph, why am I so sleepy? It’s early and I had plenty of sleep last night–what’s up with this?
I think I’m going to be baking a gigantic batch of special granola cookies soon, including a batch of gluten free ones for my celiac friend. I’ve never tried GF cookies, so it should be an interesting experiment. Poor boy, he misses cookies (and cake and bread and muffins and…and… 
) and most of the GF ones I’ve tried have had the consistency and flavor of cinderblock, shudder. I also had him pick me up some GF cream of chicken soup so I can make him Death Chicken sometime soon. Yeah, he’s one of my favorite people, is it that obvious? 
My darling daughter has been having dreams that she has twin daughters again–I told her to go have a bunch of sex–git 'er done! I love being a granny, it’s all the fun but none of the hassle. I also talked to my new DIL and she says that everybody’s agreed that if one of them gets knocked up the other will follow suit so’s to have cousins who’re close in age–how fun would that be? Since Princess Granddaughter is three already and they don’t want her to be too much older than her siblings I could be up to my kneecaps in babies sometime soon–also, my daughter only has two years until her self imposed upper age limit for pregnancy so that’s a factor as well. I’m sneakily rooting for the spoims, heh heh… chortles in glee, rubs hands together briskly

Should be a slow day here, since I already finished my piddly 30 minute task. I tried to save it for later, but it was calling me.

I put some chicken thighs and veggies and cream soup in the crockpot for dinner. I’ve made it before - it’s called “French Pork Chops.” 'Cept I used chicken. It’s all good. So I won’t have to be cooking when the little urchins come around for candy. I’m not looking forward to the aminals barking all night. If I put them outside they’ll still bark AND annoy the neighbors. I’m not so mean that I will put them in another room. They’ll still bark in there, too. <sigh>
We have four bags of candy (about 80 pieces) and Mr Rebo said that wasn’t enough and he would bring home more. :rolleyes: He just wants to have leftovers!

Happy Halloween! I’m wearing a black sweater and a sorta not-quite-orange, might-be-melon-colored, but the-closest-thing-to-orange-that-I-had blouse. So it’s a token acknowledgment of the day. And I will have cupcakes to bring in after lunch. That should make up for lack of costume, right?
The grilled tuna last night wasn’t so good. It was way too fishy smelling and tasting. I was really disappointed 'cause I love some good, fresh tuna.
While I was outside grilling it (It’s in the 60s here! At the end of October!), a guy and his off-leash black lab came walking by. The cat was out with me, and I tried to herd her into the house before the dog got there, but… well, we all know how much cats like to be herded. So the dog saw her, and she saw the dog, and she ran into the house. He started to chase her and I was scrambling to stop him. Well, the cat got into the house and then turned around, fluffed out and started to try to stare down the dog. Fortunately the owner got there and the dog left at that point. And the cat started to chase the dog out of our patio area and down the sidewalk! Crazy cat. That’s the second time she’s done that, and last time it was a pit bull!
That could be why we never see our neighbors out walking their dogs past our house any more. It’s too much of a hassle to have their dogs get chased by our little cat. ::sigh::

I am not dressed up for Halloween, although there is a Halloween parade here at the hospital this afternoon. I will not be in attendance, as I will be queueing up ad hocs for big Monday reports and then will leave work because it’s my “short” day.
gotti, man, I really hope you can get the medical issue squared away sooner, rather than later. Can’t they refer you to a different PT office in view of the fact that the current one has access to care issues? December?!! That’s just plain stupid.
Hmm, well I have nothing of interest to report. It’s a typical Halloween here; in other words; it’s raining.
Back. Have managed to pull off a regular Friday here (which means all the weekly shopping and errands) on 4 hours broken sleep… and a short nap. Slowly getting back to normal!

Yup, rain here too… blerf! I stayed up much too late last night and got up much too early this morning so I’m all bleary eyed and yawny–perhaps a bit more coffee is in order… slurp, sip Ahh, nice!
Oooh, ooh, this is kind of exciting–I got a friend request on Facebook that I suspect is my bestest friend from high school who I haven’t talked to since he left to take his GED before graduation! I sent a message back to confirm it’s really him, but who in the hell else could it be? The name is right, the city is right, the age is right, the high school is right and there wasn’t anybody ELSE with his name at our school so I’m all squeeing like a retarded little girl who just fell in the Hello Kitty bin… I’m so glad he’s still around–being a very cute gay teenager in the late '70s meant that the chances of still being around in '08 are much more slim than for the average guy and I’ve often wondered how he fared over the years. I actually tracked him down via a work web site last year sometime and sent him a “contact us” email that never got answered so I wasn’t sure if it was him or that the page had actually been updated recently–now today he started a Facebook page and I’m the first friend he added! Eeek! This is so cool!
