I’m done with work!!! Well, I’ve been done for a while, but then there were problems after I sent it.
Now I can crawl into bed and get up earlier than usual for an exciting 8:00 meeting. :rolleyes:

I’m jealous! I wish I could afford to go to sushi again, but it’s just not in the budget at all. I’m kinda picky on rolls and I don’t like shrimp, but I’ll eat almost anything else. Mmmmmmm sushi.
Yep, it’s a good thing she’s got a barter deal with the owners; she grooms their dog, they give her sushi! And lately she hasn’t had anybody to go eat it with. I do believe I will be her new sushi person. I don’t know why we haven’t gone before, but I’ll be happy to go again ASAP.
Just what I didn’t need, a new expensive food habit! 
Oh boy, they’re predicting temps in the 30s and snow by the beginning of next week! Yay!
Maybe I’ll do sushi tomorrow, you’re all making my hungry.

G’morning from the very brisk MD suburbs today - 36 degrees F right now :eek: I’m up and caffeinating, it’s back to work today. The antibiotic is doing it’s work, the swelling has gone down and I’m (almost!) back to normal. LOL Srsly, though, I am feeling much better today. Whew …
What eavesdropping? You know, if there’s a woman in a long white dress and a fella looking stunned in some sort of suity getup, and lots of folks throwing rice at them, then stopping to stare isn’t gawking. It’s joining in. So c’mon over, kitchen’s over there and there’s soda in the fridge!

Littlebro has officially been asked to be Godfather for The Niece. Mom didn’t know who the Godmother will be (I’m thinking it might be either The Other Grandmother or The Other Uncle’s GF). Littlebro said “yes” so fast that The Proud Daddy asked him to repeat it slowing down 
Man, if ever an admin decides to chop off my count by every time I’ve overtimed, I’ll lose like a whole figure!
Neat! Other Quasi-Daughter and her husband have just asked us to be godparents. Mr. Lissar’s all worried about not being a good enough role model. He’ll have to give up kicking puppies and robbing the poor, and all that.

The weather here is absolutely incredible. Low of 54 this morning and high of 78° today with low humidity. All this talk of snow - brrr!
It was nice to have the afternoon off yesterday. Taking Blaze to the vet only took about 30 minutes. I went shoe shopping (didn’t find anything) and decorated the front porch with spider webs and giant spiders.
I made Chicken Marsala and Creamy Mushroom Pasta and salad. I didn’t have enough farfalle or elbow macaroni or fettucini - so I combined farfalle and macaroni. Nobody seemed to mind! 
I should check if Chicken Marsala is in the recipe blog. It’s so easy and good!
Ok - time to get busy.

Morning Mumpers, I appear to be off. It’s 31 and frosty outside. I like it. Last night one of my night people was delayed for over an hour by an Obama rally. This is the 5th time this year something like this has happened, Next election I’m voting for who ever visits Raleigh the least.

I’m annoyed as hell this morning. I drove 38 of my 45 mile commute before I realized I left my gubmint moolteepahs at home. I could have gotten a temp tag at the gate, but that wouldn’t do me any good getting into stuff I need to for my job. I had VWife meet me halfway with it.

It’s going to be in the 60s here today! Yay! And I’m thinking since I was at work so late on Tuesday maybe my boss will look favorably on letting me leave ~an hour early today. It’d be great to spend a little time outside while it’s still nice out.
Manager’s on vacation so after 3 days of being really busy and working hard, I’m feeling very unmotivated today, especially with no one around to notice if I’m busy or not.

We are up to 50℉ this morning. Barely tolerable. Luckily, we will be up to our normal temps by the weekend.
Boy, I tells ya. Central Florida is like the first girl at school who got boobs when it comes to the presidential candidates. You can’t keep them away.

Ahhh, up, 4 or 5 cups of coffee and a diet coke in me and for breakfast I have eaten the remaining bean soup I’ve been eating for 3 days and two large helpings of the remaining turnip greens with a big slice of raw onion.
So yes, I’ve been living on beans and greens for three days. It’s the only consolation for cold weather.
Tomorrow after TOT I drive to Alabama to spend the weekend with my boyfried and meet the family. I’m very excited! I guess I need to stop eating all the bean and greens now, though.:eek:

Kinda cloudy out, but it’s supposed to clear up and be about sixy or so today–I am LOVING this weather!
Pratchett is having a yowly grumblefest at the window, must be another cat out there teasing him. He really is an unbelievably vocal cat with a range of expressions that almost approaches intelligible speech. Weirdo… I went to Dollar Tree yesterday to get some coffee filters and of course had to splurge a bit on a slice or three of key lime pie–which I have to share with Pratchett because he luuuuurves that stuff. What kind of cat will use his stabby teeth to mack out on graham cracker crust, anyway? Weirdo…
