Are there restrictions on where the lesson can be given? Because Sunday Schools (or “Religious Education” for the UUs out there) usually have structured lessons. You could also hit your local library or craft shop to see if anyone’s doing a presentation.
Worst comes to worse, call your local elementary school, explain your situation, ask very nicely if there’s a class you could observe just once. Bring ID, paperwork, and donuts for office staff and teachers. It’s how I did it once when I couldn’t get into my assigned school for observation.
Also? You guys are awesome and rock. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I’m feeling pretty stoked about the next decade.
Didn’t make it to the beach, but we had a lovely late lunch at a local Mexican restaurant - Mi Guadalajara. I’m going to spend the evening applying henna to my roots. Tomorrow, I get a TB test for the tutoring gig.
Phoukabro major got me a way cool canvas shoulder bag with a red cross on it and a brand new Swiss Army Knife to replace the one I lost. Parents still owe me a bday present. I’m contemplating . . .
Roomie and i took our dogs for a walk around the lake before I went to work. We went and saw Jack and Jill after work, then watched the Canes game. I’ve been texting with my “just friend”:). See y’all in the next MMP!
I’m back from the land of the research paper, just in time for the week to end.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHOUKA!!!
Discovered a new way to write a research paper.
Do research.
Write whole paper from what you remember of the research, leaving spots for the stuff you have to look up again and then cite.
Wait a few days for the motivation to come back from vacation.
Fill in the blanks.
I finished step 2. I’m in the process of step 3. Hopefully it builds faster because the deadline is looming.
The mechanic for the Jeep finally made it here. Nice guy - plays WoW. We should know how much it will cost for the repairs in a few days.
I’m off to pretend to be responsible until bedtime.
I just remembered one teensy tiny lesson that I saw in entirety. It was fairly poorly done, that’s why I had forgotten it. Perhaps that will make it better for the purpose of analysis.
I’m off to write it now. I finished up all of the other miscellaneous homework and this paper and it’s accompanying presentation that I have to give are all that remain. Yay!
You’re all going to be invited to the :virtual: party at my house when this is finished.
What’s this confetti and cake remnants doing all over the MMP? Happy Birthday Phouka! See, I’ve got a hat and rolly whistley thing. Watch me go tweee! in celebration.
Sorry to be late; I was off trying to keep out of trouble. Idle hands and all that. Got some Christmas things out but my homemade feather tree is a mess. Moving wasn’t kind to the poor thing. Even still it’s prettier than anyone else’s. No bragging, just a Fact.
Off to finish up the turkey noodle soup. My dog is already stuffed with turkey bits (lean, no bones) and is passed out in tryptophan dreamland.
I’m sorry Taters. It wasn’t any of my damn business and I’m sorry I said anything.
Have a nice time in San Diego. Be glad you aren’t going to try to drive there. I was stationed there for 3 months in 1969 and it was a painful experience driving there then, but a very pretty town.
Cardiologist appointment tomorrow afternoon. I can hardly wait. My angiogram cost something more than $6,000.00. I haven’t heard what, if any, of it the insurance is gonna cover. I imagine they’re trying to figure out a way to call it ‘elective surgery’. I hate my insurance.
