Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 61 Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of 65 with rain endin’ sometime this mornin’ and then becomin’ partly cloudy. Does partly cloudy mean mostly N.O.S.? The big plan of the day is to deheathenate and then back to da cave for N.O.L… I made the soup last night. I sampled it and pronounced it good. I shall heat up the soup and make cornbread. YUM!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Purtification for deheathenization and the donnin’ of appropriate bein’ in public attire must also commence at some point. Le sigh.
Near as I can figure, we got around 5-6" of snow. It was tiny flakes, not the heavy wet ones, so it should be easy enough for daughter and me to clear the driveway. **FCD **isn’t allowed because of his back, and SIL is under Dr’s orders to stay off his feet. So much for his promise last summer to shovel for us.
At least it came straight down, sans blowing and drifting, so the leaves under the eaves are not covered, giving Higgs and Cozmo a place to pee and poo. They’re too low to the ground to use the rest of the yard.
Today’s plans include clearing the driveway and figuring out what to make for supper, since I can’t get groceries today. I’m going to be nice, dammit, and stay off the roads so the county can get them cleared. Plus from the looks of weather radar, there’s still more to come. At least I don’t have to work tomorrow.
Slept in stupidly late. I blame the weather- I think I’m part squirrel, when it’s all overcast like this I just want to curl up in bed and sleep til spring.
I have put some laundry on, and I do need to go pick up a prescription, plus maybe some shopping. Other’n that, I’m torn between defilthifying the place and trying to get on with some skool irk. Both need doing, but I neither have imminent deadlines nor high likelihood of catching plague from the filth yet. Maybe I should toss a coin.
Morning all. Finally got home last night about 8:15pm from the indoor soccer, it ran late due to some teams that normally play at the High School having to play at the Middle School due to booking of the gyms. Too tired to reply last night, so just letting you know I am still here…at least until 1pm, when I have to go back for another 4-5 hours of indoors.
Guess it worked out; it started raining yesterday about 10am and rained the whole day, so I wouldn’t have been doing much anyway. It’s in the 40’sF this morning and not due to change much, but at least the rain is gone.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. It’s raining, and it took two tried to get “Princess Pretty Paws” to do his business. it’s the dreary kind of day that makes you wanna huddle up in a pub. Or in my case, go to an afternoon hockey game.
It’s snowing again and now it is big flakes.
Ripple is acting stupid, barking at the neighbors. I guess he didn’t get the memo that shar pei are not supposed to be barky dogs.
Daughter and I shoveled the drive in record time… I guess… I didn’t time us. And the county plows have been thru the neighborhood, so we can get out if we have to, which we don’t. I also cleared a bit of the back yard so the dogs can pee and poo. It’s too deep for pug butts!
From the looks of the forecast, this should mostly melt away by the end of the week - in time for the next snow. But the roads should be mostly dry by Tues, so that’s good.
Not raining here today. Next rain is supposed to be Wed. Don’t think we’ll get much snow this year. When I moved here 45(ish) years ago, winters were white, nowadays, not so much.
Was gonna get a hair,or two, cut today, but my barber has a cold, so no go.
Maybe pork roast and veg for dinner.
Wifey was talking yesterday about driving over to the coast today for a look-see.

its a cold and gray 46 today supposed to get up to a cold and gray 52 …slept until about 9:30…but im one of those people that if I don’t wake up on my own im tired all day and the weather dosent help ….

PS – also watching the Patriots. The poor guys on the musket squad are going to be running low on rounds before this one is over… They may have to visit the artificier before this is all over.
Not quite that old but not too far. I said, however, that it was a local favorite, having been in business since 1947. But I can understand the cold numbing you somewhat, as I do recall my own bouts with cold weather from decades ago, barely. Fortunately, now it is already 79 degrees here and not even 11am yet. A relaxing Sunday is in the offing, maybe a nice stroll along the beach.
RoxStar has a bit of a cold - her temp popped over 100° briefly, but now it seems to be back to normal. I watched her while her parents went out to get something to eat, and she definitely didn’t act sick. Oh, and she’s really close to standing on her own. Can walking be far behind?
**FCD **and I went to Texas Roadhouse for late lunch/early supper, so I’m not cooking tonight. I may have some fruit later. It’s rainy/sleety out there, but we’re in for the night, so who cares!

My son will have to shovel the sidewalk again.
Do him some good, since school is out he doesn’t do much of anything.

The forecast originally said we were going to get maybe 1-2", we’ve got at least 6 and it’s still coming down. I shoveled out my car in case the schools opened tomorrow and I had to go to work, but they just closed. So I will take the 3-day weekend.
