ppr, the answer is rough sex. Always. Regardless of how impossible it would be to acquire such an injury whilst engaged in hanky panky.

I thought that was the cure for all ailments, not the cause…?

BTW – pepper: you like hot food and Pat Benetar? ::drops dead of infatuation::

**Spaz **-- tell her that since the world is definitely ending, she obviously won’t mind signing all of her earthly possessions over to you, right? Well, right!?!?

Three down, two to go! Woo hoo!

I have a headache. :frowning: I took two alleve, and I am feeling some better now. I gotta finish out the rest of the week, even if I don’t want to. Ah me.

Glad to be home and gonna lay down for a bit to see if it helps my headache further.

Thanks, heh. I did buy a pack the minute I arrived downtown. And I agree with Mahna. Just, you know, vaguely smile and say, “Oh, last night . . . you know how things can get.” Whatever they imagine is going to be much more interesting than anything you could tell them. :stuck_out_tongue:

mmousie, the student copied a bunch of stuff off the Internet for her final paper. Seriously, I TELL my students that I can spot Internet crap at ten paces, but apparently they don’t believe me.

And how does one stay awake without caffiene anyway?

Yay! It’s Quit O’Clock!

::runs over to Fathom to have beebs all to myself::

I like the way your mind works. But you knew that.

Whew! I didn’t miss Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day. I know it’s always in April, and I just realized today that I hadn’t looked for it this year. Fortunately, though, it’s next week.

So remember everyone to stop by Ben & Jerry’s on Tuesday, April 29th for a FREE small cone (or dish) of ice cream!

Is that good in Canada too?

I may have to go out of my way to go to Ben and Jerry’s if so…

There’s no Ben and Jerry’s around here. :frowning:

We don’t have one in town either Pie. :frowning:

The Ben & Jerry’s downtown closed a bit over a year ago. :frowning: Looks like the nearest ones are in Dayton and Lima; a bit too far to go for free ice cream. We have other awesome ice cream purveyors (there are others, but this is my favorite). And now I want to go get some ice cream. But I’ll be good and wait till later; I’m not really hungry and already had dinner.

Ya know, when people read in public, I always hope someone has screened them; there’s usually a way to give the bad pronouncer a different job. I would have been twitching throughout.

Hope you’re able to sleep some tonight, beebs.

And, yay, doggio mighta actually got a day off!

Long day. Meeting meeting meeting read-for-next-meeting-during-lunch meeting budget meeting budget important-e-mail. I’m going for a walk, since I missed my normal lunchtime jaunt.

Hugs to all…

Back later.

I don’t think I was a Mumper back when TVMan had a seizure. But anyways, there’s someone here in the neighborhood who is making the exact kind of thumping noise that I heard when he fell out of bed. I think it’s a basketball dribbling, but I happen to find it terrifying for the first few seconds until I realize everything’s ok.

Just ate Pizza Hut’s new pasta for dinner and I am stuffed!

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Ben & Jerry’s.

My new hat’s arrived!

I tinkered around with the new edit feature on photobucket. I think I should be holding a cigarette holder in that photo.

A day of gardening has cooled me off considerably. I felled a tree today. It was long dead, but huge. I leaned against the trunk and the thing moved on me. So I started [del]getting jiggy with it[/del] rocking it back and forth–but it was quite the whole body workout. It fell. I also removed (I hope) all the creeping charlie from the east bed near the driveway; sprayed Roundup on the sleepydick and weeded several beds randomly. And I made chocolate chip muffins.

Work tomorrow and Friday for me. The next big project outside is redigging the drainage trench, the “dry stream o’ pebbles” and The Husband gets to redig the hole for the pond liner. (it’s more a puddle, really). I cut a HUGE bunch of daffodils (I have daffs like other people have dandelions–my yard is amazing in early spring. It’s the rest of the growing season that needs attention).
I’m too tired to make dinner. Early bedtime tonight.

There is a tree-hugger joke in here somewhere; I’m just too tired to find it.

I think so, too. I did sit down on it, once it fell–I was exhausted! (I’m turning into an odd old lady, aren’t I? One who talks to herself and wears oddly colored socks with sandals and shit. Felling trees by rocking them out of the ground. Kill me now…)

hat looks great. You look good in black and white.

Well, I got a day off. I did laundry, recycled, and took a long nap. Dinner is brats and N.O.T. salad.

Nice hat, Haze.

:noogies beebs:

Gee rigs, next thing you know, you’ll be singing the Lumberjack Song!

Well, I was wearing a bra when I felled the tree. No suspenders, though. :frowning:

Evenin’ Y’all! I think I caught up. WHEW! That’s a chore.

gotti is DH all buffed up yet?

rigs it’s all a part of grad school. I told you in the beginning that grad school is designed to make you want out as quick as possible so you can look back on it and say, “Dang! I hated that!” I guess you believe me now. BTW I’m impressed about you gettin’ all butched up with that tree.

MOOOOOOM she’ll be fine. Those portfolio thingys, while important, really ain’t all that big of a deal, IMO. Havin’ BDDT and all, I speak from experience. Though that particular experience was a looooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. 32 years ago, in fact. I chisled part of my portfolio in stone and drew pictures of the rest of it on the wall of the cave.

Ok, Ima go mess around da cave for a bit then Ima go sleepy-bye cause I’s tahred!

Nitey-Nite Y’all!
