A new Finish the Western coming in a couple weeks

That could be a significant meeting! Assuming that Tuttle has bad schemes, Poole will be reluctant to believe the evidence when it starts coming out.

I think we need to get through the funeral, and let a couple of days pass, so Zeke has time to do some investigating, and “the bad guys” have time to develop their badness. Jesse needs to be helped out too.

ivylass, your scene with Tessie reminded me of something I witnessed in 1977, at the Denver airport. I was flying home from Korea,(I was in the Army), and as far as Denver I was on the same flight(s) as another soldier whose home was there. I myself would be going on to Kansas City. This guy couldn’t wait to get home, he’d been away for 13 months, and was eager to see his now six year old daughter. We talked about her a lot. I saw the little girl’s face when she saw her Daddy again, and came flying towards him. He bent down to pick her up and I saw tears in his eyes as I passed by. Beautiful.

I can’t remember if Martha left town or not. I’m assuming that if she did, she’s back now and at the Triple A.

I’m assuming Martha married Will and stayed at the AAA. Then he had the stroke I mentioned, and she contacted Tuttle for help.

Tuttle could have been lying when he said Martha had sent him to Goldstone’s. Hank probably wouldn’t have been aware either way.

Well, if Captain Tuttle is as slimy as we think he is, then maybe he’s trying to worm his way into his dear aunt’s graces. Although, IIRC, Martha is no slouch. Perhaps she’ll fall to his “reformed ways” for a while. (After all, he is a soldier!)

I got it!

Who’s to say Captain Tuttle is Martha’s only nephew?

Maybe she sent word for Nephew A to show up, and Nephew B (Captain Tuttle) intercepts the letter and shows up instead!
Don’t you just love flashes of inspiration like that? It’s like, for a moment, a whole world of possiblities lies at your fingertips!!

Oh my, I am in awe of you, ivylass! I can think of several ways to work that one in. Now excuse me while I go make notes. Hmmmm.

Well, at least Martha knows which nephew is in town now. Your turn, Baker.

Time for a shakeup, heh, heh. Someone has a plot going! If it’s the child I think it is, this could explain some things.

I got your e-mail, Baker, and I used your idea. Let’s see who would be scummy enough to kidnap a little girl.

'Nother stranger in town. Lets see whose plan(s) he puts a wrench in…

One question Lute, is your Pinkerton man a real person whose name I should recognize, or is it fictional. Great idea, BTW, Zeke is as good a sheriff as he knows how to be, but a Pinkerton man could be of real use just about now!

I heard a while back from Corner Case, who was with us in the sci-fi story. He was interested in getting into this western after he learned of it, and I sent him the summary and recap material. But work and now illness has got in his way. However, he sent me a post of some dialogue between May and Zeke, that while it won’t fit just as written, posed a very interesting question. With his permission I may us some of his ideas, but I wanted to throw out the main one and see if everyone else finds it as interesting as I did.

The stage that fell into Westwood Ravine, was it a random target, or was there a particular reason for that stage to go down? What was it carrying? Another passenger? Or was someone supposed to be on it that wasn’t?

Oooh, cool, Lute! I wonder whose trail he’s hot on!

Fictional but inspired by Sir Percival.

I didn’t name Belle and Sally in my last post because I figured it would be obvious who they were, heading back home from Anderson’s Gulch. And they would have no reaction to seeing Tuttle pass by because they hadn’t seen him yet. Jesse and Charlie weren’t with them, as they are probably still out helping Zeke.

Alice is safe. Did Yuri take her on Nichols’ orders? If so, I foresee a little confusion as Alice talks about the man with the funny mouth (referring to Yuri’s accent) and the man with the funny leg (referring to Nichol’s limp.)

I think Zeke will start putting two and two together at the Triple A…that is, of course, if he can pull his eyes away from Graziella.

CARAVAN?

or

CAVE?

Which version to use?

:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

I read “caravan” and processed “cave.”

:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

Baker, can we get a ruling, here?

I wrote caravan. “Rushan” was supposed to be an awkward mispelling of “Russian”. I deliberately used other mispellings as well. But you can deal with it as you feel like.

Can you rewrite, ivylass, using some of the same ideas? It was a good post after all. Then we can just ignore that post. I really did mean for action to occur closer in town.
