I read every page of those threads. And while I’ve not been a fan of Kirkland raving style in the past (and have told him so), I was right behind him this time. When someone refuses to listen to any logical arguments and simply falls back on “I know I’m right, so there,” then there’s little point in continuing to argue rationally with them. MrVisible, however, as best I can recall, has mostly been fairly calm and polite, if extremely sarcastic.
I guess not being gay myself, I don’t have such a personal stake in getting you ignorant fucks to change your minds. I have the luxury of just being able to tell you I think it makes you an asshole. So if I’m harming their efforts by calling you names, I apologize to them. (Not to you.)
I don’t claim to be perfect, the one thing that makes me a significantly better person than you could ever dream of being, Joe, is that I sincerely hope that you never have to literally fear for your life due to the ignorance of others.
Joe Cool, please tell me how exactly you are helping the cause of Christianity which you so loudly proclaim by telling peope they are going to hell. In my opinion, you are not being polite. As I understand your take on Christianity, homosexuals are evil people who should be sentenced to eternal damnationation and separated from the love of God in death, just as they are separated from the love of man in life. Fine. I doubt there’s a poster whose read this and other threads on this subject who doesn’t know your point of view.
You talk frequently about homosexuals being sinners. I’ve got news for you – we are all sinners, if nothing else, trapped by the commandment which Christ gave us and which I’m breaking even as I type. That, by the way, is the one which speaks about loving your neighbor as yourself. Adultery and bearing false witness are prohibited in the original 10 commandments themselves. Why don’t I read more about you condemning adultery or about lying? You’ve got plenty of material for those two in the media today, including some rather prominent preachers for the former, and a mess of corporate scandals for the latter.
Quite frankly, as I’ve told you elsewhere, if Esprix and Eve, not to mention a good real-life friend of mine are going to be condemned simply because of one aspect of their lives, then, with all due respect to the Powers I’ve dedicated my life to, I’ll join them.

PLEASE, for crying out loud, show me where I said ANYBODY was going to hell, sentenced to damnation, anything of the sort. I HAVEN’T. So unless you can produce a quote of one of my posts where I said such a thing, knock it off.
You’re probably right. But since they want to keep asking for my and others’ opinions on the topic, I’ll continue giving it.
Perhaps it’s because there are fewer threads called “I dare you to tell me that adultery is wrong” or “A note to all the truth-supremacists”. People like to start threads about homosexuality wherein they solicit opinions from Christians (bible-believing ones, in particular), and then pile-on for those opinions when they’re offered.
I’ve said repeatedly that it’s not my place, my business, or within my power to condemn anybody to hell or even say whom God will condemn or save. And I stand by that. However, the bible is very clear on what it says about homosexuality. All I’ve done is point out that it is a sin as defined by the bible (and that I agree). I have not imparted any special importance to homosexuality, and have said repeatedly that it is no better or worse than heterosexual sex outside marriage. I have never said once that I’m better than anybody else, and I have never once claimed to be sinless or even anything close to it.
If I post more on this topic than others, it’s because there are not nearly as many liars and adulterers claiming that adultery and lying are good and all about love, then screaming rabidly at the hateful Christians for saying otherwise.
Once again, kindly stop putting words in my mouth. Esprix’s and Eve’s business is their own, and what God thinks of it is between them and God. So I’ll thank you to quit claiming that I have said or implied otherwise.

One would think that Acehole would extend the same respect, but we would be wrong. Of course, this is not the first time he has revealed his hypocrisy. In the Rhapsody thread, he accused me–falsely as noted by Coldfire–of calling him a troll, yet on the same page, Acehole calls a poster an idiot and a troll. Whne called on it, he excuses it as mere “silliness” on his part. He demanded an apology and threatened to sic the mods on me, yet he expected to have his actual namecalling overlooked.

Heck, I like and tolerate all sorts of people I disagree with; I even have grown to like some fundies, like Dreamer. I can understand that your beliefs dictate that you must be disapprove of homosexuality.
But do you not see that that you have no right to impose your beleifs on me? I’m not a member of your church; you have no right to tell me how I must live my life. It is none of your business. In the same way, you have no right to pass laws to restrict my life any more than you can pass laws banning other religions just because you think they are wrong. What you people do in your church is your business; extend us the same courtesy.
