A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

Bleeding 'em dry?

I think the pit of dumb is bottomless.

Apparently, Meadows has now found out that the committee will have access to his phone records (and would presumably be able verify whether he would be telling the truth while under oath) and has decided he’d rather not cooperate.

Steve Bannon’s case will apparently go to a jury trial on July 18th, 2022, because his defense needs a lot of time to put together their case. Presumably, at that point he’ll fire his lawyer and ask for more time to get a new one, or will be ill or something.

Does anybody know how to short this “social media” company of tanTrump?
Just asking for a friend…

We’re accustomed, with good reason, to expect that Republican-pol actions are ultimately about making massive bucks.

But Devin Nunes may actually be a True Believer. He may actually worship Donald and want, more than anything else, to serve him.

Which is certainly very sad for Devin Nunes.

He’s so full of sh*t he should be called Devin Prune-es. (Did that work? I’m not sure it worked.)

We’ll allow it.

I think you’re right @Lightnin - he was suddenly in a position that nothing he said was inconsequential, and opening his mouth at all put him at risk. So back to running out the clock.

Which our system sadly makes very, very easy to do. Well, if you’re a rich, powerful white person at least.

So, for an experience dairy farmer, who’s milking who?

As 538 pointed out redistricting might be poised to screw Nunes’ safe district in CA. I wouldn’t rule out some serious self-interest here. Of course it might very well be a combo - a true believer making a timely move.

~It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!~

Alternatively he might be holding back his cooperation in hopes of getting a better deal (e.g. immunity).

Republicans are going full Organized Crime now.

Or a lot like “The War on Christmas”. No doubt someone there will report it as such.

Going?

According to Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt, the tree was about “Jesus and Hannukah.” Fox News host says burned Christmas tree outside studio represented ‘Jesus and Hanukkah’ – DeadState

Well, Hannukah is the Festival of Lights. Just gotta keep that fire going for 7 more nights.

It would take a miracle.

Ya gotta believe!

Considering that believe has a lie in it, yeah. The miracle will come.
