During the 2016 election I read an article quoting a contractor who’d been active in Atlantic City when everyone – including Trump – was putting up casinos. All the major contractors in the area learned with his proposals to bid extra high and collect enough before breaking ground to cover the materials and make a little profit because they knew collecting subsequent payments would be problematic. They called it the Trump surcharge.
He said some new guy would start a company, bid the regular amount on a Trump proposal, and go into bankruptcy because they didn’t get paid. I imagine the same thing with lawyers.

I’ve never considered anything about Tan the Conman as charismatic. But then I’ve never looked at him as though he’s the mirror of soul and mind like his supporters do, bleating out loud the horrible things they used to only wish they could say out loud, but now actually say out loud.
