Republican loses to another Republican, badly, and refuses to admit he lost fair and square.
Penn came in second to Duke Aiona in the Republican primary, pulling 19,667 votes to Aiona’s 37,406.
Nearly 2 to 1, and still…
Well Penn did a poll of the people working in his campaign office and nearly 75% of them said they would vote for him. So there must have been something shady going on for him to lose.
If you’re familiar with Penn’s MMA career this isn’t surprising. He didn’t know when to gracefully walk away from that either.

Your problem is that you are thinking. You need to stop using your brain. Only then can Trump make sense. Look at the vast majority of people who are devoted to the orange stain; do they look like deep thinkers?

This is very much like his narrative for never showing the tax returns he long ago promised to show. What astonishes me even more is that he continues to break the law openly and the rubes continue to support him.
I’m astonished that anyone is still astonished at this phenomenon. The rubes want him to break the law and get away with it. They want him to be defiant and never admit anything, and double-talk his way out of trouble. He is the most their hero when he behaves that way. The man called it himself back before he was even elected. I don’t pretend to fully understand the psychology behind these rubes’ feelings, but I certainly recognize it.
When I was in high school and college, liberal types I knew would warn about populism and the “man on a white horse” seizing control by inciting mob action. But none of them ever talked about what was going on in the hearts and minds of the members of the mob. Now we’re seeing it in full flow.
