Maybe it’s a test case for pivoting around Trump.
While I hate to possibly defend him, was that made during a battle recreation at Gettisburg or it was just him on his own cos-playing a defender of the peculiar racist institution?
Is Fox News really starting to make that shift away from Don?
Keep it at it, Faux - these stories make my day.
Two kinda similar cases from Illinois:
A few years ago, in a very very blue district, a man won the Republican primary unopposed. He wasn’t a closet Nazi - he was full-blown out-in-the-open show-up-at-events-with-a-swastika Nazi (OK, a little exaggeration there, but not much.) The Illinois Republican Party said “Don’t vote for this man; we give him 0 funding.” Didn’t say “Vote D”, but that’s the net effect.
A bunch of years ago, followers of Lyndon LaRusche won Democratic nominations to several state offices. The gubernatorial candidate pulled out as a Democrat, and he and his entire slate ran as 3rd party candidates.
Thanks! You reminded me I wanted to throw some bucks Josh Shapiro’s way. Now that’s done.
I’m convinced at Rupert Murdoch’s insistence, they are actively engaged in Trump-weaning. It’ll be a long gradual process, but I’m sure you’re going to see more of these formerly unspeakable pronouncements from Fox as time goes on. They WANT DeSantis to be their new golden child heir apparent.
And these were the ones that were IN TRUMP’S OFFICE, and not secured as they were supposed to be (albeit in a room with a simple padlock).
Proof positive of obstruction and lying to the grand jury.
not a battle recreation. he wore the uniform at the army war college in carlisle pennsylvania, which is about 25 ish miles away from gettysburg.
in 2020 he praised armed men defending confederate statues at gettysburg.
he called for election integrity hearings at gettysburg.
he has a very odd idea of what happened in gettysburg for someone who grew up and went to school in middleish new jersey.
Doug Mastriano, the Republican gubernatorial nominee in Pennsylvania, posed in a Confederate military uniform in a 2013-14 faculty photo at the Army War College, a picture obtained by Reuters shows.
Faculty at the school, where Mastriano worked at the time, were given the choice to dress as historical figures, people familiar with the photo told Reuters. While a few others appear dressed up, Mastriano is the only one in the photo dressed in a Confederate uniform, which many associate with hate and the legacy of slavery in the South.
The way she stumbled around looks like they still need more practice, e.g. first calling him “president” then correcting herself “former president.”
…not to mention also calling him “smart”.
The Democrat won against Palin in Alaska:
The schadenfreude this day just gets better and better, doesn’t it?
I can hear Sarah crying from my house!
Actually looking forward to the Roevember elections.
Chris Hayes found out while reading the teleprompter:
So stealing this!
And yet 48.5% thought Palin would make a fine Rep.
Palin whining about ranked choice voting:
To be fair, that’s the percentage after the ranked-choice voting was done. Palin was the first choice of only 31%.
Well if it hadn’t been ranked choice she would have lost 30.9% to 39.7%. Would that have made her happier?
Almost 50% of third place Begich voters declined to make her their second choice. RCV is not helpful to the most extreme candidates in a multi-candidate race so expect to see Republican opposition to it increase as it grows in usage.
