One of the best pictures I’ve seen in some time…
I had to stop watching my local NBC news due to the insufferable promotion of his show on every single commercial break before he ran for office. I’ve returned to watching, but if they put OZ back on, I’ll have to give them up again.
All Kanye needs is two simple words…
Link is a Steve Martin bit about not paying taxes.
That is fantastic! The McCs look so happy!
Body language can be so revealing.
Sometimes it seems like politicians are such children – they don’t seem to have any notion of how they are presenting themselves to the public.
This presupposes that Trump actually paid out the money for the SM, which I find highly unlikely. Most likely its that the SM and assistant will have to sue him.
Ideally if Trump refuses/refused to pay for the assistant, the state would pay, and then have the state courts of Florida sue Trump for refusal to pay. Which once again puts the state in the position of recovering the costs, out of their comparatively unlimited budget and lawyers, which will be another frustration for the sue n’ settle Trump, while at the same time creating additional delicious schadenfreude about Florida courts having created the problem and having to fix it themselves!
It’s the hot chocolate topped with fresh from scratch whipped cream of schadenfreude for me!
I stopped watching the NBC National news after one of their “big cities are being overrun by crime pieces”. It was the story of a woman with a baby in a stroller that had been attacked in broad daylight on NYC’s Upper East Side. After several minutes of hysterical “criminals are running rampant, no one is safe” panic-mongering, they finally saw fit to briefly mention that that attacker was the victim’s ex-husband.
And with regards to Pence, he’s been giving the same interview with the same scripted responses for several weeks, and they always include that bit where he refuses to denounce Trump but also refuses to endorse him, saying he thinks the voters will have better choices than Trump.
And, in listening to Pence, I’m pretty sure he spent years lying to Mrs. Pence about Trump……”he’s said he’s wants to be friends, he apologized for this, he apologized for that, he asked about you.” In listening to Pence, his most obvious laughable lies seem to be about Trump apologizing for offending Mrs. Pence, or asking if Mrs. Pence was OK after he tried to have her husband murdered. And he’s going to live those lies.
Didn’t John Nance Gardner, FDR’s VP for his first two terms, actually run against him in the Democratic primary in 1940, supposedly because he felt a president should not run for more than two terms? (Obviously this was before the 22nd Amendment…)
It’s actually ‘Garner’, but you are correct. Garner ran against FDR in 1932 in the primary, and then did the same thing in1940.
Interesting aside: Garner began his political career as as the county judge of Uvalde County, Texas.
What I’d love to see is him incarcerated in a state where he owes the state government money because of such shenanigans, and they garnish his prison-piecework salary.
Looks like you don’t have to worry about that:

…Now this man is reportedly desperate to get back on TV, and the industry is not particularly interested in his comeback.
“No one in the mainstream will touch him,” a source told RadarOnline. “You can’t alienate half of your audience with a political stance and expect to bring in an audience on your return to television.”…
I just want to say I love the term “He Beclowned Himself”
I do love that term as well. But that headline could be trimmed down a bit to:
But He Beclowned Himself Too Hard
It started long before he ventured into politics.
Didn’t know that, but at least it was for more than “FDR is unfit to be president”. Though I’m reading that they clashed over policy decisions and things got bitter by the end.
At least FDR didn’t send a mob of lunatics to try to hang Garner.
Don’t think so. Judge “Loose” Cannon is a federal judge, so the state won’t get involved.
“Looks like you don’t have to worry about that:”
Thank goodness.
FINALLY!!!
I guess a little beclowning is OK (amongst consenting adults).
“No Congress has ever wielded its legislative powers to demand a President’s tax returns,” Trump argued to the Supreme Court, as he warned of the “far-reaching implications” implications of the DC Circuit’s ruling.
Well, presidents in the past didn’t need to hide them.
I think the far-reaching implications are good ones.
