I was going to post that Legal Eagle video. It’s a wonderfully detailed description of how Trump’s lawyers actively pursued the “fuck around” part and are now in the “find out” phase. Some things I didn’t know before:
Trump’s pitbull* lawyer Alina Habba was formerly the general counsel for a parking garage.
Trump’s lawyers couldn’t tell the difference between the guy in Virginia they wanted to sue versus various other individuals in New York with the same name.
Trump’s lawyers filed in Florida because they were judge-shopping and said it was okay to do this because Florida is a state and everyone knows that.
*On second thought, I take that back. Pitbulls probably don’t deserve the bad reputation they get but having said that, you still would not want to get bit by one. Habba is more like a small, annoying dog that might be a danger to the skin around your ankles if you aren’t wearing socks. A chihuahua lawyer?
We’ve brought that up multiple times on the boards, speculation as to her involvement is that she just happened to have an office really close to Mar-A-Lago and fit Trump’s idea of what a lawyer should look like. (And to be fair, that’s relevant because she has often been used as a spokesperson for him.)
I’m not sure that’s possible in three-dimensional space.
I wish he knew what to do with his hands. Those two issues aside, the videos are great.

MTG gets harangued by random customers at a restaurant, and it hurt her feelings. How unfortunate that someone who has devoted themselves to promoting divide among Americans, should be treated in this fashion.
This MTG quote from the article is rich in unintended irony and trumpesque projection:

When the Texas power grid goes down, people have to stay warm somehow.
No problem. Just wait on climate change. It’s forecast to be in the mid to upper 80s across most of Texas today. If we don’t freeze to death, we we’ll get hit by heat stroke.
Why, it’s almost like they think they should be able to do or say whatever they want, without any consequences! It’s hilarious when they discover it doesn’t actually work that way.
Well, turning the ‘doesn’t work that way’ into ‘it DOES work that way’ is a major attraction and feature of going full-autocracy. No doubt that’s quite motivating for anti-democracy activists such as Marge and her little friends. (My bolding in the quote.)
