A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

Far too generous. Birdseed is nutritious to eat, and if planted in soil will grow life. I think his skull contents are better described as “scheißekopf”.

The bone in his spurs migrated north.

It makes his BMI calculation a little better if he is 3 in taller

Before the bill comes due.

Meanwhile, out west:

Even Trump’s legal team in its countless and mostly futile attempts to challenge elections in court (sometimes leading to sanctions of the lawyers) got a couple of legitimate issues looked at. Probably by accident. They were minor things that in no way changed election outcomes but were worth looking into.

This seems along the same vein of “even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then” results. But I’m sure that Lake assumes that this will PROVE she really won the election, when likely at most it will prompt a minor process change for future elections.

My interpretation of the Lake case, Distirct court and supreme looking though Lakes arguments.

District court: Yup, its bullshit.

Corcoran says he’s not going to plead the fifth to the DC Grand Jury in the documents case!

Trump’s lawyer won’t plead the Fifth: report (msn.com)

That can only mean he is going to testify that Trump personally told him to advise the feds they had no more classified documents.

Or he’ll say something else. I’m not sure why that is the only meaning of his announcement that he won’t take the fifth.

And now, a comic interlude.

Even the dwindling numbers of MAGAheads who show up for his rallies these days don’t seem eager to hear the Manchurian Cantaloupe tear into DeSantis:

An appropriate response to one persistent group of enablers:

…The Judiciary Committee staffer who called Bragg’s office at noon on Wednesday was promptly hung up on after he identified himself to a woman who answered the phone, a person familiar with the call told The Post.

When the staffer called back a second time and identified himself, a second woman bluntly told him, “Your committee has no jurisdiction over us. You’re wrong. Stop calling us with this bulls—t,” the insider said…

ISTR hearing when I was a kid that cussing on a telephone line was a federal offense. Should this [DA] staffer be worried?

I would be very surprised if that’s true. I’d be even more surprised if such a law was constitutional.

How surprised would you be to learn that eight-year old kaylasdad99 kinda believed it?

Oh man, working for a government agency, and knowing how standing orders are to basically not talk to anyone on the phone if it’s not an expected part of your job, and only ever refer them to The Proper Authorities, I’m like 99.999% sure they were instructed to respond in such a fashion to these calls.

When your boss tells you to tell the Congressional caller to quit their bullshit, you know someone has crossed the Rubicon.

The impression I’ve been getting of the more recent Agent Orange rallies is that the MAGAts aren’t really there to listen to him bloviating; it’s 99% recycled and they’ve already heard it many times. It’s more like a right-wing DeadHead gathering - a place to meet and commune with like-minded MAGAts and buy/sell merch.

There’s also much less effort and expense put into these than there used to be (and I’m sure part of that is due to larger venues no longer wanting to book an event since they know full payment is unlikely). Renting an airfield hangar or outdoor space in a rural-ish area has got to be relatively inexpensive and all Agent Orange needs to do is fly in, bloviate, and fly out again.

What makes you think somebody who’d rip off big venues (who might actually be able to afford lawyers) wouldn’t rip off small venues?

I didn’t word that well - I don’t think he’d be against ripping off smaller venues. I just think they might be a bit more naive (and possibly in denial a bit) about accepting an event since I’m sure requests come in less often, particularly from someone with a national presence. It probably seems like a good idea, until it isn’t - and they have less ability to go after someone who doesn’t pay. And he’s cheap by nature anyway so if there’s any money he needs to front, I’m sure he’s happy the less of that there is.

He’s also lazy, so being able to fly in, blab, and leave has got to be an attraction.

Personally, I’d probably skip the cussing and go straight to reminding them that interference into an investigation is a criminal act and are they sure that they want to proceed with the call?

It’s not a crime per se, but it does go into your Permanent Record, young man.
