Yes! Invariably calling him, on first reference, a “short-fingered vulgarian.” Love it.
And here’s hoping the dynasty dies aborning:

I predicted ages ago that Ivanka would go off and be a Kushner to distance herself from Daddy’s problems. I’m still expecting her to change her last name.
Also, as if Donny didn’t have enough problems:
There’s no way that goes well.
Nah, he’s always been more sympathetic towards Republicans. It’s just that he thought that playing a Democrat on TV would play better with blue collar types to maximize his popularity.
It’s another example of his unique grasp of reality and the transactional nature of all his decisions.
Donny Two Scoops is running out of folks that are wiling to advise him. It’s probably not too far down the road till the brains of the family, Eric, will be in the inner circle.
Guys and gals…
Sit down. This one is good.
Ready?
No, seriously, SIT. DOWN.
…
Rudy has been suspended from practicing law in New York, just announced 10 minutes ago.
now, shall we begin…
Heh - my favorite comment from that Twitter thread: “So unfair … that it didn’t happen years ago.”
Truly.
I can’t stop smiling. I’ll need a grinectomy. I’d put it in the “Made my day thread” but it breaks my own rules for the thread.
Very well-deserved indeed.
For those who want some joyful beach reading, here’s a link to the court’s 33 page opinion.
Too bad (not really) Trump can’t use Twitter to express how Rudy was dumb as dirt and Trump hardly talked to him.
Man, they don’t bury the lede, do they. Second paragraph after detailing what sections of the Rules of Conduct were violated:
For the reasons that follow, we conclude that there is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020. These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client. We conclude that respondent’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings before the Attorney Grievance Committee (sometimes AGC or Committee).
Actions have consequences. Who knew?
Finally. Again.
Honestly. I was worried that they didn’t anymore.
Does anyone know how this will impact his ability to practice law elsewhere than in New York state?
Technically, it won’t. He can still practice law in any other state in which he is licensed.
However as a practical matter, I’d expect other states to follow suit, and few will hire such a “lawyer.” I’m afraid Giuliani is far from that description these days and not for quite some time.
He also has bigger problems to worry about. I expect criminal charges to be laid against him quite soon. (Meaning sometime within the next six months.)
IANAL.
Don’t state bars work on reciprocity? If you’re licensed in your home state, you get bar privileges in other states, but if your home state pulls your ticket, the others do too?
Just curious - that’s how it works in Canada.
in how many states is he licensed?
The suspension won’t affect Giuliani’s ability to act as a lobbyist or do security consulting, but will likely will prevent him from practicing law in jurisdictions even beyond New York, said David S. Weinstein, a former federal prosecutor.
Giuliani would be obligated to tell other states about the suspension, he said, which “in all likelihood will cause them to say, ‘You won’t be able to practice here.’”
Ooh. That’s even better than I thought.
Yes, Ohio typically suspends the licenses of lawyers suspended in their home, or any other, state.
