I almost hope that it’s no prison time - but a felony. Then he cannot own firearms, and his own family members have an obligation to ensure that he does not have access to their firearms because it would be illegal and dangerous.
In this post-Trump era, I can see MAGAt money taking a LaPierre weapons ban through a series of appeals and eventually to the Supreme Court, which can be fully expected to rule than a weapons ban for convicted felons is unconstitutional. Seriously, especially after the Heller ruling, would this really surprise anyone?
