A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Nothing happened to the banker. Cyrus Redblock had as much hubris as Trump. He was warned of consequences, but did what he wanted to anyway… and paid the consequence. I had this snippet in my head of a handcuffed Trump being dragged backwards out of the courtroom after sentencing, shouting ‘Don’t you know who I am? I’m Donald Trump…’ [vanishes through the doors].

“Bailiff lets doors hit him in the head.”

I am unaccountably annoyed that that link says the scene is from Datalore, when it’s obviously from The Big Goodbye

You are correct. It’s the only clip I could find.

No problem. Just uncontrollable Trek-pendantry on my part

McCarthy defends Trump storing documents in a bathroom by going on the attack about Biden’s documents in a garage:

Reporter: “Was that a good look for the former president to have boxes in a bathroom?”
McCarthy: “I don’t know. Is it a good picture to have boxes in a garage that opens up all the time? A bathroom door locks”

I was impressed with all the ways that this is stupid:

  1. Obviously it’s a whatabout, as usual. Biden is being investigated. We’re talking about Trump.
  2. Bathroom doors lock from the inside, which doesn’t really help with security unless Trump’s taking one of his “massive dumps” when russian spies are visiting MAL.
  3. Garage doors lock. And indeed, from the outside.
  4. Bathroom doors “open up all the time”
  5. As we’ve seen from the photos, the bathroom was only one of many places that Trump stacked boxes
  6. A hotel is inherently less secure than a private residence.
  7. Obviously all the other differences, like Trump resisting requests for the documents back, lying about having them, showing the docs to people without clearance etc etc

IOKWTDI – it’s okay when Trump does it.

Or Republicans who wish they were Trump. No one else need apply – especially Democrats, erm, Demonrats.

Go, Chris, go!

Watching MSNBC yesterday, I heard Neal Katyal say “Makes me I’m glad I’m a Hindu, because I believe in karma.” Made me LOL.

By the way, today is donald’s birthday.

I’m sure he’s having a rollicking good time. Smiles all around.

Looks as though you’re right; I’m seeing “hundreds” today in citations, though none definitive (so won’t link). I’d heard “2000” on one of the news shows–not Fox!–on the day itself. Maybe the reporter was seeing double/triple/quadruple.

Trump has shown himself fully capable of delusional perceptions. He’ll always believe that ‘most Americans’ adore him and would do violence in his name, if asked.

If GOP power-players start openly talking him down, that won’t impact Trump’s delusion–but it could remove some of his accustomed platforms for doing that YELLING LOUDER. (Speed the day!)

Speaking of delusional perceptions, Jack E. Smith tweeted:

Considering an indictment for the sketch artist.

Jack’s right. That artist was either stoned, drunk, or bribed to the hilt.

A little bit of Schandenfreude featuring my least favorite Senator, Ali-bama’s Tommy Tuberville. Turns out he was absent from the chamber to make an appearence with Trumpy, and…

Ah Tommy, you should have stayed in coaching, all you’re doing now is proving the Peter Principle.

Press on.
