A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Repeatedly.

And they’re big, strong men.

General. (irritated) Exactly – you said “often”, frequently, only once.

(from The Pirates of Penzance of course)

Abruptly, this just popped into my head, with apologies to G&S and TPoP:

Hush hush! I hear them in the Rotunda, poaching
With stealthy steps the MAGAts are approaching

Here’s your crowbar
And your center bit
Your life preserver
You may want to hit

Your can of bear spray
Your horned fur hat seize
Go take a shit
On anything that’s Pelosi’s

Tan-tan-tarra-zing-boom, indeed. Lawks, I love this place.

Junior facing a not-so-warm welcome Down Under.

“Donald Trump Junior is a far-right agitator who spreads bigotry wherever he goes,” Omar Hassan of the Campaign Against Racism & Fascism said in a statement. “His visit is likely to be a magnet for far-right and neo-nazi groups across Melbourne, so we will be there in numbers to send the message that people here reject and despise everything they stand for.”

A federal court evidently doesn’t trust Tan the Conman to STFU and has ordered special restrictions on his access to evidence:

US judge orders Trump lawyers not to release evidence in documents probe

(Reuters) -A U.S. judge in Florida on Monday ordered defense lawyers for former President Donald Trump not to release evidence in the classified documents case to the media or the public, according to a court filing.

The order from U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart also put strict conditions on Trump’s access to the materials.

“The Discovery materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court,” the order filed on Monday said.

It also specified that Trump “shall not retain copies” and that he may only review case materials “under the direct supervision of Defense Counsel or a member of Defense Counsel’s staff.”

No word yet on what Judge Reinhart will do when the traitor tweets “truths” an insult to the “so-called judge”.

Or Judge Cannon, even……if she “turns on” him.

Maybe I’m overly optimistic, but I’ve been envisioning a Comey situation with Judge Cannon. Because of her previous rulings, Trump assumes she’s in the bag for him, and starts pulling those sexual harassment techniques that creeped out Comey (inviting your prey to what is implied to be a public dinner, only to surprise them with a private dinner for two is such classic sexual harassment technique I laughed out loud when Trump pulled it on Comey).
Maybe Trump will reach out and invite Aileen Cannon to spend the weekend at Mar-a-Lago. Maybe he will have a problem taking no for an answer, maybe she’ll start keeping a secret diary of all the illegal stuff he asks her to do.
But I’m daydreaming…….

Someone should tell him if he does it in public, it will cause a mistrial and he’ll go free.

I think this merits a reasonable amount of Schadenfreude:

Judge slaps down MAGA lawyer John Eastman’s attempt to call ‘expert’ witness at disbarment hearing. (Sorry, for some reason Discourse won’t display the article inline.)

John Eastman, the attorney who wrote the infamous so-called “coup memo” that urged former Vice President Mike Pence to reject certified election results on Jan. 6, 2021, got off to a rough start in his disbarment hearing on Tuesday.

As reported by NPR investigative reporter Tom Dreisbach, Eastman tried to call as an expert witness a certified public accountant named Joseph Fried who wrote an ebook about the 2020 election in which he cast doubt on the legitimacy of President Joe Biden’s win.

California State Bar Court Judge Yvette Roland, however, wanted no part of Fried in the hearings, as she noted he lacked any relevant experience in running elections.

“I don’t see how Mr. Fried is qualified to be an expert,” she told Eastman.

Eastman’s lawyer tried to argue that the accountant could prove beyond the shadow of a doubt and with geometric logic that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox did exist election fraud occurred in swing states — an argument that, predictably, went nowhere.

And now this:

She ought to recuse, I mean, c’mon. If she votes to acquit, then she’s just voting for Her Man. If she votes to acquit, then she’s a vengeful woman scorned. Best to stay well clear:

Looks like we know what you think her vote is gonna be .

Oh come on, she’s not his type.

Foreign?

I forget what’s the best place to post this fine bit of news, so I spun a top and it said here:

A Capitol rioter who told Insider it was ‘really fun’ was sentenced to 14 months in prison

A Capitol rioter who told an Insider reporter he had a “really fun time” storming the US Capitol was sentenced to 14 months in prison and 36 months of supervised release.

Thomas Adams Jr., 41, was one of the thousands of protesters who traveled to Washington, DC, to attend President Donald Trump’s January 6, 2021, rally. In January, Adams was found guilty of obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting, two felonies.

Ah, the life of the witless felons.

“Have fun storming the Capitol!”

From his match dot com dating profile:

I enjoy dancing in the rain, long walks on the beach at sunset, and storming the US Capitol. I’m comfortable in clothing that ranges from blue jeans & t-shirt to tuxedos to camo & gas mask. Looking for your partner in crime? Look no further!

What, no fedora?

I’m sure his profile pic is khaki pants, black polo, topped off with a fedora. Probably holding a tiki torch…
