The Democrats will block the “quietly” part so they can take credit for the repeal and embarrass the GOP. But if they can force a repeal, they will.
Well, really, “These idiots didn’t even know what they were breaking” is a message that needs to get out. Not one GOP elected official stopped to think what the repeal of RvW would mean in practical terms, and so they’re left scrambling trying to find a fix for what they broke.
Democrats should loudly and repeatedly remind them that if they’d just left it well enough alone, they wouldn’t be scrambling for a solution that tries to mollify both sides of a seriously contentious issue.
Not to mention healthcare services for women in those states…I mean, how many OB-GYN physicians want to practice in states where providing appropriate care can lead to criminal charges and jail time?

Abortion is murder in some states, perfectly fine in others – it’s all A-OK with him, because he has such high principles and convictions. The only convictions the hypocritical self-serving Orange Shit-stain will ever have will be the ones imposed by the criminal courts.
Oh, I definitely get where you’re coming from on this. My point rests on not the law but how the snake and his offspring would be affected by it. Of course the only reason he would care about how is offspring is affected by it is how that would affect him. It has nothing to do with consistency, legality, or even morality. It’s all about him.
They would never be affected by it at all. Rich people including fervently anti-abortion rich people have always arranged an abortion by travelling to wherever it was legal to obtain one.
If abortion became illegal throughout the US any Trump family member who needed an abortion would simply make a quick trip to Canada or Mexico or Europe. I don’t believe Trump’s recent softpedalling on abortion has anything to do with personal or family concerns.
Ah, but that was before he and his crime family invited the scrutiny they are now subject to, thanks to mister ego’s arrogance. Consider that much of his reaction to the fallout from his stupidity is predicated on the way things used to be for him.
