I don’t accept this for a moment. They are a jetsetting family, and one of them could pop over to a clinic in Europe with not a peep of publicity.
Ages ago I read a piece with interviews with abortion clinic staff, several of whom said what made them white hot angry was being obliged by professional ethics to give abortions to well known anti-abortion campaigners (or their daughters) and not being able to say a word to anyone about it. And that’s in the USA.
When one of the Trump Stepford wives goes skiing in Switzerland, is anyone really going to know she nipped into a clinic for a day or two? And frankly even if you are right that there is a risk of a Trump being found out doing this - the Orange One has far too much chutzpah to worry about that risk, or for it to cause him to start softpedalling on abortion.
The Orange One’s aides told him that his unfortunate success in getting Roe v Wade overturned was costing him votes, so he said what he needed to say. End of story.
That falls a bit flat with me - IME actually people who believe they are innocent show the usual human inclination to put off confronting, difficult and uncertain things.
So, basically, the Mango Menace is on time out, told he cannot skip any court sessions and will be punished immediately if he disrupts them. No word yet if he’ll be allowed breaks to have his nappy changed.
A judge not only rejected Rudy’s recent arguments to reverse the huge defamation judgment against him, but ridiculed some of his specious arguments. Rudy’s current legal and bankruptcy situation can be described as what lawyers and legal analysts, using technical legal terminology, refer to as “well and truly fucked”.
Actually, as a member of the legal profession, I’d fall back on our local bar’s legal terminology of Rudy being “screwed, blued, and tattooed.” But “well and truly fucked” works too. Suggestion: If you’re in church, or in your grandmother’s presence, you might like to use “screwed, blued, and tattoed,” as it doesn’t use the F-word, and you can divert the discussion by trying to define exactly what “blued” means.
Trump Media & Technology Group’s stock is tumbling again after the company announced a potentially massive new influx of shares. The struggling company is rapidly losing money, and a new stock offering could help it stay afloat.
But there’s a downside to going back to the market with more shares: The addition of 21.5 million shares for sale announced Monday would add more than 15% more stock to the publicly available shares of the Truth Social owner. That would substantially devalue existing shareholders’ stakes — including that of former President Donald Trump. And it means that millions of shares could be sold off.
