(The court will need 18 people to qualify in all: 12 jurors and six alternates.) However, more were dismissed after questions arose about content they had shared on social media that disparaged the former president, and Trump himself was not spared from hearing what they had posted.
One potential juror ruled out on Tuesday was a man who recently shared an AI-generated video of Trump saying “I’m dumb as fuck,” according to reporter Josh Kovensky of Talking Points Memo. The man had evidently tried to conceal his opinion of Trump during earlier questioning, per The New York Times, and protested that the video was only something he “reposted,” but Judge Juan Merchan dismissed him.
At another point, tweeted Tyler McBrien of Lawfare, the judge read a meme into the record that seemingly disqualified the would-be juror who shared it. The joke referenced the Thai youth soccer team dramatically rescued after they were trapped in a flooded cave system for more than two weeks in the summer of 2018, when Trump was still in office: “Trump invites the Thai boys to the White House, and the boys request to return to their cave.”

I think I am not alone in saying that watching Donald Trump be forced to sit still and be quiet while my SDMB posts pertaining to him are read aloud would be one of the high points of my life.

They add: “Any split that is higher than 5% will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”

So, they’re implying that Trump might deign to glance at a piece of paper with your name on it, but won’t go quite so far as to actually promise even that scrap of indulgence.

Trump should recognize that excuse. He used it during the Carroll trial. “I didn’t say it, I just reposted what someone else said”.
“That bastard stole my excuse! I’m going to get him!” is the more likely response.
5% gets you not put on the bad list.
10% gets you put on the good list.
20% gets you a MAGA hat.
30% gets you a MAGA hat signed by Trump (actually a staffer pretending to be Trump)
40% lets you send in a photo to which a staffer will photoshop to include Trump giving you a thumbs up.
50+% will have your name included in Truth post in which Trump will say you are a good guy. If you win Trump will claim your victory as his own, if you lose he will pretend he never heard of you.
Honestly this is probably a good thing. The more money that goes away from electing Republicans and instead into the pockets of Carroll and the New York State general fund the better.
