I wonder how Loser Donald spent what could potentially have been his last night as a free man?
Whoever had “whining about Robert Deniro” please step forward and claim your prize money.

How many movies has De Niro made in the last year? Enough to quantify that they’ve “gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE”?
Trump’s just jealous that De Niro gets more acclaim than Trump’s own work in Home Alone 2 does.
De Niro got an Oscar nomination (and quite a lot of other nominations) for one of his most recent films, Killers of the Flower Moon, a film that itself received a metric shit-ton of awards and nominations. Seems like the DeNiro brand is doing okay.
He’s got two more in the pipeline so we’ll see how they go.
Jeanine Pirro was asking yesterday what has Robert De Niro ever done for New York? Has he built skyscrapers with his name on it?
De Niro has done this for the city:
Wikipedia–
The Tribeca Festival is an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Productions. It takes place each spring in New York City, showcasing a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2002 to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of Lower Manhattan following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Until 2020, the festival was known as the Tribeca Film Festival.
Each year, the festival hosts over 600 screenings with approximately 150,000 attendees, and awards independent artists in 23 juried competitive categories.
On 9/11, Donald Trump was talking about how he now had the tallest building in Lower Manhattan:
On 9/11, Trump pointed out he now had the tallest building in Lower Manhattan. He didn’t.
“40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan,” Trump replied, “and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest — and then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second tallest. And now it’s the tallest.”
But it wasn’t.
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat tracks skyscrapers around the world. As of this moment, Trump’s building at 40 Wall Street, called the Trump Building, is the 32nd-tallest building that either stands in New York City or is slated to be built there.
I think Trump may have left himself some wigggle room. Most of the really tall buildings in NYC, the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, etc., are in Midtown Manhattan. By limiting the scope to “downtown” he excluded a lot of the competition.
Donald Trump is a liar. He was trying to manipulate language to give a false impression, and may still be lying. And in this case, whether he lied is beside the point. He bragged about the height of one of his buildings in the wake of an attack that killed thousands of people; why is the Washington Post even checking whether it was true?
Not to mention, DeNiro is also backing a new film studio in my old neighborhood in Queens.
True, but the article looks at Lower Manhattan buildings standing on 9/11 and 40 Wall St is the 2nd tallest.
But, yeah, Trump is talking about his building on 9/11. He really has no empathy for others; he always pivots to himself.
With Trump, “wiggle” gets three g’s
I would not fool Mother Nature, and I sure as shit would not attack Robert DeNiro.
I was interested seeing DeNiro actually have some passion and energy after watching him phone in his acting for the last 20 years.
Trump inspires passion. Just ask Stormy.
But really, any thinking person would be pissed as hell at DJT. Perhaps brought DeNiro out for a good cause.
It reminds me of his early days as president when Trump had a brief feud with Meryl Streep. As I recall, Trump made suggestions that she was a terrible actor.
“Your rating suck!” is the worst insult he can imagine, after all. It’s his version of the “Yo mama” joke.
“Yo ratings so low, even in Death Valley you’d have to dig to find them!”
non-paywall similar:
Seems he’s been hiding things, buying stuff, delays, not forthcoming with documents, shifting money - very Trumpian.
He learned from His Unnaturally Orange Master.
As to crowd estimates, ISTR a dispute in some South American country in the Nineties over a newspaper’s crowd estimate for a politician’s rally. The politician said it was 'way too low and actually sued. The newspaper hired a respected university prof to review enlarged aerial photos of the rally, and his head-by-head final count was even lower than the newspaper had first written!
Have to admit, I got some major schadenfreude from Trump getting booed and then spurned by the Libertarians. Whichever campaign staffer convinced him to go has probably already been kicked to the curb.
He’s surprised that DeNiro is smaller in person that on the movie screen…
Probably someone thinking, “all the dudes in my frat who said they were libertarians always voted straight-ticket republican and just wanted to seem intellectual – they probably all love trump”.
I was going to say that I was much more interested in what DeNiro is doing next then and what Trump is doing next. But then I considered the fact that what Trump does next very well carries the possibility of prison time.
But under normal circumstances… Yeah.
I was not aware of this. Jesus Fucking Christ!
