Yeah, to hear Trump tell it, he gets better ratings than that guy, too
Let’s nail him to a tree and find out!
Just kidding, SS. Put down the Glock and chill.
Oh… you mean that “other SS”. Worried there for a minute…
Happy cake day, Silly!
I don’t know much about Libertarians but they seem like cats to me. They will vote for Trump if it amuses them to do so but they absolutely will not vote for him if told to do so.
Andy Borowitz has announced the winner of the best Donald Trump Haiku Contest.
I write the best haikus
You’ve never seen anything like these
Counting syllables is for losers
Nobody tell Trump about the bread adverts De Niro has been doing here in the UK. They are really bad.
Are the magaflatearthers still saying Merchan instructed the jury they can convict with less than a unanimous vote?
The ads are terrible and yet somehow the ‘bread’ is even worse.
The DeNiro ad is definitely not one of their better ones. Still love the Stallone one, though:
Samuel L Jackson’s is okay too, although the portraits behind him are fun.
The bagels are…fine. Generic supermarket bagels. But I’m starting to think that Warburton’s is way overcharging for their bread if they can afford all these major Hollywood actors.
Anyway - how about that Trump guy?
Yes. I had a nice discussion with my mother about it this morning. Along with her objections to the jury not having access to a written copy of the judge’s instructions, Merchan directing the jury to find Trump guilty, and how big of a liar Cohen is. She’s having a MAGA meltdown online.
You pointed out I’m sure that the jury does not have a copy of the instructions because the DEFENSE did not agree to it???
I didn’t because I wasn’t sure if that was true. As I understand it, in New York the defense will typically veto any attempt to give the jury written instructions but I wasn’t sure if that’s what happened in this specific case.
Reading up on it, apparently there was a case a while back where the NY Court of Appeals made a decision that, if narrowly read, said they couldn’t be provided if the defense objected but has generally been read to not allow written instructions at all.
At any rate, it’s not a new rule or an exception. It sounds silly to me and hopefully something that can be revisited by the state of New York.
Let there be cause for schadenfreude today!
If the amount is more than would be perfectly reasonable, that would be OK.
Haven’t seen this little nugget of info anywhere in this thread.
I saw it somewhere.
While it is unclear how much he sold the plane for, the private aviation company evoJets estimates a Citation X costs about $8.5m to $10m.
That’s for a 1997 Cessna Citation X. I checked controller-dot-com, and I only see two Citation Xs that don’t say ‘Call for price.’ One is a 2004 with 6,789 hours and 6,062 landings. The asking price is $4.3 million. The other is a 1999 model with 9,530.2 hours and 5,557 landings for $3.5 million.
Now, I don’t know how many hours or landings Trump’s Citation had. Maybe very low numbers. But up to $10 million seems way too high for a '97.
But there’s nothing suspicious about that. Right?
Hey I’m sure that plane has a big gold “T” painted on the tail. That has to be worth $7 million right?
I realize Newsweek is no longer a serious news outlet but Trump on the Run is fun to imagine.
Trump on the run
You scream and everybody starts a-running
Take a run and hide yourself away
(Trumpy on the run) Trumpy
Trump on the run and hide away
And the quote is from a host on Newsmax – which I think is an Alt Reich place, isn’t it?
Close enough if not stated outright anywhere.
