Anytime Donald Trump has faced legal troubles, DC bars have been there with a drink special. They offered “Dark N’ Stormy Daniels” an “IndictMINT Juleps” for his indictment. So of course when the former president was found guilty on 34 felony counts for falsifying records to cover up a sex scandal, they were ready to pour Washingtonians another drink.
The Midlands beer garden in Park View was ready with the first drink deal within 20 minutes of the verdict being read. “We will be celebrating with 34 ounces of Justice!,” the bar posted on Instagram. It will offer $10 steins all weekend long.
Hmmm … what other drinks might they dream up? Shall we give them a hand?

Convict Donald thought one of the jurors was in the bag for him and was going to hang the jury. SAD!
Have to be honest, the thought that he actually had it in his head that he was going to skate one more time, only to be slapped by the cold hand of reality at the last second, makes the schadenfreude just a little sweeter.

Didn’t one of the jurors say they get most of their news from Twitter and Truth Social? Maybe that’s the one Convict Donald thought would move heaven and earth for him.
Guess I need to quit referring to him as Tan the Conman. Tan the Convictman fits.
Honestly, the big money siphon that Trump and his travails is inflicting on the rest of the party is a delight in itself. Especially when one considers that some of it will end up with EJC/ Letitia James (well, New York State).
I recalled the same thing. I did a quick Google search and found the following…
The article states that he doesn’t actually have a TS account, but follows Trump’s reposts on Twitter.
The juror also reported he follows Michael Cohen, the attorney at the center of Trump’s trial, on X and the “Mueller, She Wrote” podcast, an investigative podcast about Russian meddling in the 2016 election hosted by a woman who later claimed she was fired from her Veterans Affairs job because her podcast was critical of Trump.
So it actually seems like this particular juror just followed anything related to Trump’s criminal cases. Not unlike several of our own dopers who keep an eye on certain right wing boards just to see what the narrative is from the other side?
Now Trump has to go to the Pre-Sentencing Interview !

It reminded me of the tally board on the game show Family Feud. I got a mental image of Richard Dawson 9or some other host) going down the list:

I was watching some clips of the cable shows this morning and the Trump advocates are all like “What’s the crime? The Democrats have been out to get Trump for years! This is a disgrace!” and so on.
It’s all projection with them. How many decades has the right-wing been after the Clintons? What do they have to show for it? Bill got caught lying about a blow job and they’re still chanting “Lock her up!” for emails at rallies.
Um, your guy banged a porn star and lied/covered it up and stole classified documents. That’s next level, or many, up from the Clintons.
Law & order, family values, and personal responsibility are what we Republicans stand for. Also, how dare Trump be held accountable!
But on their bright side, real criminal mastermind and incompetent senile old man Joe Biden will be held accountable any day now.
