And he’s lost 85% of his custom. Way to go moron, and YAY Australia for not supporting a business that promotes the dysfunction that Trump does.
What does this mean? That he’s only 15% Australian now?
I think it means that he’s lost 85% of his customers.
As has been mentioned, Trump can’t pardon her, so presumably she’d be incarcerated by the time of the State of the Union. However, I think you are quite correct in thinking that Trump will use the seats available to him to showcase lawbreakers—those who broke the law for his benefit, and those who broke the law in the general service of glorifying violence.
Specifically, I’d guess that he will want to offer as a model for future behavior, American war criminals.
Trump can exercise the power he wants to exercise only with the cooperation of US armed forces. Therefore he will want to show approval for those who violate the norms of the military, particularly with a focus on disobeying lawful orders (can’t have those officers who still think an oath to the Constitution matters, slowing things down), and on the commission of violence.
He will want those people to be hailed as heroes.
(No schadenfreude here; just horror and reasonable cynicism.)
It makes sense, since Australia was originally founded as a penal colony. Of course he would appeal to criminals.
I thought this was appropriate.

A reassuring thing I’ve just heard: my son tells me they have been getting regular seminars about what is a legal order and what is not.
Who’s running the seminars? I hope the message isn’t “anything a Republican tells you to do is a legal order.”
For my entire military career, there were regular training sessions on what are and are not legal orders.
Look for that Navy Seal he pardoned. And that Navy Seal that got off because a doctor took the fall.
He said it was his senior officer. The one he “shot” during training, because he (the Col.) didn’t give the proper pass phrase.
He’s got Aussie street cred!
(Seriously though, good on the folks abandoning the restaurant.)
There’s still some good schadenfreude here and there.
Since Nov. 5, you’ve gotta grab it where you can.
Yeah. Rudy can’t bear the entire burden himself.
Now Trump is going to have to find completely new bullshit to go after Hunter Biden for:

Why do I expect FBI Director Kash Patel will find SOMETHING to use to go after Hunter, Joe and the rest of the Biden Crime Family?
I agree, I think Trump would love to have a Justice Department that will declare people guilty first and figure out the details sometime between eternity and never but we’ll see how that works out for them.
