That would be lovely compared to some of the alternate subtitles and poster edits that have proliferated on Xitter ![]()
Truly. I’ve seen the preview and even without the baggage of being King Merdas’ wife I wouldn’t watch it any more than I did any of the Kardashian performances.
“Well, it was only a ‘small’ at that price…”
To be fair, I only ever order a small soda at a movie theater. Because a small soda is still 20 ounces. That’s the same size as a standard single-serve soda bottle.
A medium is 32 ounces, and a large is a gargantuan 44 ounces.
Reminds me of this bit from Parks and Recreation.
I was looking at some right wing sites that were saying that theaters were almost sold out in Florida with pictures of theaters with almost every seat booked. I wonder how many of those seats were booked by actual live people and how many were simply paid for by Trump’s “friends”. I can certainly see Trump encouraging his billionaires to buy out theaters to boost the numbers.
We’ve looked at the local theater. All almost completely empty with no sales, except for one Friday showing. For that Friday show, entire rows are fully booked. The odd part is that there are no empty seats in those rows. Usually there are a few empty seats, often two, in between the booked seats.
I’m betting that the local Republican party bought the seats, and are telling their members to take any seat that’s prepaid. There are some available seats in the front row, so it’d be funny for someone to do a live MST3K treatment.
Careful. Under this administration that’s a capital offense.
I went to IMDB to see the User’s rating, but no reviews yet. But the Parent’s Guide section is a hoot:
Sex and nudity: Severe
Violence and gore: Severe
And the same goes for Profanity, Alcohol drugs and smoking, and Frightening and intense scenes, all have been labeled Severe. (I can believe the last category, at least).
Now let’s see since reviews.
I’m sure Rs will pad the popular ratings with 10 stars. I don’t suppose one has to have seen the movie to rate it.
Here’s a link to the full article, with lots of details, on the Pew Research site. The big news is in the first few paragraphs:
Looking at the Poll @kenobi_65 linked, and the general unpopularity of ICE killing White people (I’m being extra cynical, but it’s the Pit so I can!) I wonder about the exact language Democrats will be using in the coming elections.
I suspect that 99% of those hesitating on the above will come right back to MAGA if the Democrats mention the rights of those “darn illegals” (/s if not clear) to due process, but might not if it’s all proposed as supporting the Bill of Rights, which warms the cockles of many Republicans (since it includes their 2nd Amendment rights, and sanctity of their Castle-Defense homes)…
Eh, again, cynical.
If only one of the Seven Dwarfs was named “Assholey.” ![]()
I can’t imagine a movie about Melania, whose only fame in this country is proximity to Trump, would be a box office success in South Africa
I mean, what we know about her is limited to a soft porn career that hardly anyone has seen, and somewhat dubious fashion sense. She does not seem to have a personality at all.
They murdered a white man who worked to save the lives of military veterans as a regular job, simply because he was legally carrying a gun that he never touched at any point while defending a woman who was being attacked.
That should fill up the right wing outrage bingo card pretty well.
Yeah, I keep waiting to hear from the Second Amendment fans how outraged they are over the killing of this man for simply legally carrying a firearm, and not using it in any way during the attack.
Nope—because the right wing won’t see any of the items listed as being on the bingo card
White man?–no, he was a “leftist”
Worked with military vets? no, again, he was a “leftist”.
Murder?–nope, it was an “interaction”
Legal carrying a gun? --not even mentioned. He was resisting arrest , and needed to be restrained during a chaotic situation, caused by his own radical actions…
This is how foxnews shows it:
“every single step of ICE’s interaction with Pretti was reasonable”
To be even more cynical, at this point, all the ICE nonsense is mostly an excuse for the average MAGA. The issue is the same as it usually is - it’s the economy, stupid. The price of groceries, energy, and housing are up and going higher. The ends aren’t meeting, no matter how hard they try. We’re stagflating, though nobody seems to want to use that word.
They would rush right back and pretend they never doubted if, by some miracle, their own economic situation somehow improved despite the ham-fisted handling by pretty much the whole administration. It’s why Trump is putting so much pressure on the Fed to cut rates. To the extent they care about what is happening to other people, it is to the extent they identify it as a distraction from not actually addressing rising costs for themselves and their communities.
it needs to be MONEY - sadly, the ice murders will mean more to them if they realize just how much money is being wasted/spent on this, not the justifiable outrage informed people feel and which is a feature not a bug for his supporters. on the other hand, I really feel like if more voters SEE that 5 year old in the animal ear hat, it would be a good thing.
