A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

trump said “she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future”, so apparently he doesn’t even regard her highly enough to make up a BS government job for her. Maybe he’s getting one of his business cronies to give her a sinecure to keep her quiet.

Unless they blow it by taking the high road again, which lost for Hillary and Harris.

Trump Truth store closes due to low sales in response to the vanity war.

So if you didn’t do it for the money, what’d you do it for? [Here endeth the rhetorical question.]

But this next bit gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Especially this part!

I hope she loses every piece of property she has.

In the movie Nuremberg the focus is on Göring and his sparring with army psychiatrist Douglas Kelley about foreknowledge and culpability. There is a side-story about the totally unrepentant Ley and his suicide. The Colonel in charge of the stockade where the prisoners were held was royally pissed. He wanted the man to hang in disgrace.

The Mendoza line of politics.

Not sure if it’s been covered here, but the trump admin has proposed a $1.5 trillion military budget for 2027, a figure which would equate to $2,000 additional spending per American adult.

And as we all know, military spending must always be rubber stamped, because otherwise you love the terrorists and don’t care about our brave servicemen or something.

But dont worry: they have said that massive cuts in domestic spending will (somehow) cover the expense.

Winning!

To hell with Healthcare or public services! It’s clear that what the American people want is more weaponry so we can go halfway around the world and blow shit up! Whooooooo!

Keep it up, you Republican pricks. I hope Nuremburg II comes sooner than they think.

They seem to be aiming for a North Korean-style public services budget: almost entirely spent on the military.

Wait, doesn’t that go in the disgraced etc thread, not the schadenfreude thread?

Right! I came here for my morning schadenfreude!

Wonderfully deadpan snark.

On the Josh Marshall podcast this week, he talks about how this “we need to cut healthcare/daycare funding to pay for military spending” talk is bullshit anyway. You only have to balance the budget on recurring spending. Unless Trump is planning on getting the US into one war after another until the end of his term, Congress can approve the military spending as a one time expense without having to cut somewhere else.

I had to doublecheck that that wasn’t The Onion.

An amusing read, yes, but ye gods and little fishes, what a horrible website.

Trump supporters on Truth Social are turning on him over the Iran War: this is supposed to be a gift link to a NY Times article.

A growing chorus of disaffected Trump supporters is sounding off in the replies to his posts on the social media platform he founded.

A big segment of MAGA-ville is the old school isolationist/America-only Fascist of the stripe Charles Lindbergh would have felt comfortable with. Trump courted them with the “no new wars” lie and then promptly shit on their cornflakes with a pointless new war.

Unfortunately, they’re so staggeringly stupid he’ll probably be able to get their support back by lying “this time, I mean it, no new wars.”

A shameful waste of a great start.

When you’ve lost the ICE-loving, Greenland-desiring, inflation-loving population, you’ve lost everything!

That’s why I’m not too excited about this disturbance in the MAGAverse. It only matters if it actually lasts long enough to have a real impact. If they forget in a few months and go back to being faithful drones again, it won’t matter.

Neither my wife or I want to carry a firearm. It’s a pain in the ass really. Half of your attention has to be on the fact that you are carrying a deadly weapon.

But because of these MAGA assholes, we want to be able to. My wife just got her CCW, my class is Sunday.

MAGA is gonna lose there shit when Trump is impeached.

I suspect a good number of them will take this as an opportunity to end their support of Trump and still retain their honor. “He changed,” they’ll say, “That isn’t the same man I voted for in 2016 or 2020.” I’m not going to lay odds he gets impeached again though. But I’ll be happy to be wrong.
