Tennessee Republican Congress chud and Trump endorsee Andy Ogles has been defeated in the Republican primary. The new GOP nominee for the deep red district, former state agricultural commissioner Charlie Hatcher, is probably not much better, but he could not be worse than Ogles:
He said this year that Muslims don’t belong in American society, deleted a homophobic social media post after having blamed a staffer and argued last year that the federal government should revoke future New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s citizenship and deport him.
First, my mantra:
This is what they wanted for others.
This is what they voted for others.
This is what they got for themselves.
And the reason I mention my mantra:

I am firmly convinced that most of this stuff, Epstein files included, are intended as a distraction from the blatant bribery and extortion schemes propagated by the Trump Family.
Congress the has been indifferent to the emoluments clause. So far, at least, it hasn’t okayed child sexual predation.

75 year old, lifelong Republican John Gannon told CBS that he no longer supports Trump after ICE arrested his 45 year old Venezuelan girlfriend:
“l voted for Trump. They are picking up law abiding people, they’re destroying families, jobs. I wouldn’t vote for him again, not after this. 8 ICE agents swarmed Jasmine. I was in total disbelief”
Every time I wander through the cesspool that is Twitter (which is much too often), the MAGAs are all chanting ‘deport them all!’ in the comments on any story like this.
I think this is working very much like gay acceptance - people generally became accepting once they found out someone they knew/liked/loved was gay and the world hadn’t ended. There are of course still homophobic assholes (also distressingly prevalent in the Twitter cesspool).
The problem there is that most people don’t have a personal relationship with an undocumented person.

Well, if the President cared he could just reach out to Spain to get her sent there. We still have a good relationship with them, right? Right?
If by Spain you mean the Spanish Government the answer is no. The relation is at a 40, perhaps 73 year low. And still sinking.
