A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

It’s harder to run when the leopards are up there chewing on your face

True.

Not that they don’t deserve it–fully.

I’m not sure if this is the thread in which to post this, but it seemed appropriate.

Peter Navarro, who is high on the list of Most Despised People In This Country, is urging Trump and his cabinet members to not grant interviews to FOX News, after FOX supported the three networks that Trump banned from the WH last week.

“FOX may call that solidarity. I see a network using its position to settle a score with a President it has never liked,” the Trump aide wrote. “And FOX can’t pretend it was simply following the crowd.”

The Rupert Murdoch-owned network, “wore our jersey and played for the other team,” Navarro continued.

Navarro says Fox has always hated Trump? Just more evidence that even when you kiss Trump’s ass and help him get elected he’ll turn against you the moment you’re not polishing his balls. I’m starting to think MAGA has some sort of humiliation kink.

Who’s this Peter Navarro fellow. We should be hearing from Ron Varo and maybe John Barron. Those guys always seemed to be in the know about what Trump was doing. Only ever got them to call in, though…

Another case of “they were going to go after THOSE, not after us”. I bet like many others she figured her daughter’s rights were mostly a settled issue as long as she lived in a Blue City, and at worst would face discrimination, but that the “real” danger was some Muslim terrorist “illegal” would kill her under “Sharia Law” just for being gay so you had to crack down hard on them.

Meanwhile, in Big Law:

Trump tries to ban CNN and others from covering him at the WH. Pretty much the next day he whines like a big orange toddler that CNN won’t cover him at the WH.

Make up your mind you moronic imbecile!

Don’t forget that he thought his White House ban for those news organizations extended everywhere outside the WH too—witness his interaction with CNN’s Kaitlin Collins at the UN: “You shouldn’t be here.”

I had the same reaction: he bans news organizations, then wonders why they aren’t covering the arrival of Xi, and his welcoming of the Chinese leader.

I do find it ironic that he says these news organizations have poor ratings. If their ratings are so poor, then why is Hegseth’s Department of War [sic] buying commercial time on CNN to advertise how tough the US military is, and that might makes right?

Oh, cry me a lake. (The bolding is mine.)

Yeah, right. Of course you were making a political statement. Nice touch, doing that particular one on September 11, too.

She should use her newfound free time to work on her English.

I think I’m missing something, To be clear, the woman’s a jackass IMO, but I’m not seeing the fire-able offense here.

“That’s a nice bank you have there. It would be a shame if it burned down.”

Being a jackass is often enough for a senior executive. Companies are generally risk averse. Banks are often more so, and bad publicity due to your CEO is a risk

Will the bank not draw Trump’s ire?

Only if they don’t “donate”. Otherwise, he couldn’t give a rat’s ass

I’m not sure if this changes anything, but if she was the CEO, she wasn’t an ‘employee’ to be fired, she’s a c-suite executive that the board can vote out. Also, did any of the articles actually say she was fired or otherwise involuntarily removed from her position? It’s very possible she resigned or retired.

The article says “she’s no longer with the firm,” which I guess could mean a number of things. Not that I care much, but I’m still perplexed at the reaction.

What if, for example, it had been a picture of her posse wearing red MAGA caps, would their message have been substantially the same? Would it likely have produced the same “out you go” result?

We all despise Trump, but surely signaling support on your own time isn’t culturally beyond the pale.

And, again, in case my confusion gets misinterpreted, fuck her. I shed zero tears for her and her gang of miscreants.

I wonder if part of the risk to the credit union is member ties to Canada (like family or cross-border work), given the proximity. That, and her posting

“Like our sweatshirts? Not sure Canada will. Lol lol”

Is that decision up to you, or to the employer?

Definitely the employer. It turns out they did not confer with me, a poor choice on their part.
