A Picture MMP {My First MMP}

That’s really interesting, bb2k. I can’t believe I’m in the top three for quite a few of them. My second grade teacher did complain that I talked too much. Although compared to some people around here I am positively laconic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ouch, yes :smack: I knew I was writing something wrong…

studiously ignores that redheaded guy

Yeah, me neither :o In the Top 3 way too often since I started posting here…
**BBS2K **-- awesome work!

OK, that tears it, now I’m feeling insulted :stuck_out_tongue:

SCL, GT, anybody else awake at wierd (American) hours… go ahead and empty your brains here  I’ll be happy to rummage through the mess :stuck_out_tongue:

**Rigs **-- $200!? Well… OK… I admit that’s steep, but you’re worth it

Too lazy (and busy) to go much further back than that…

I’m still awake, but rummaging around in spilled out brains sounds yicky!

Surely you can think of something better to do.

If it makes you feel better, “caries” is what the dentists call them.

Unless you’re a raving anti-dentite, which means that’ll make you feel worse.

[Zombie mode]Braiiiiins![/Z.M.]

Well, sure I can, but that kind of something to do requires a partner. Wanna? With a Middle Eastern Zombie?

Depends on what you had in mind.

Any particular one you had in mind?

It’s only Tuesday night? It feels more like Sunday, it’s gonna be a long week.

We had some snow last week that stuck around until last night. That’s when the wind and the rain kicked in, 50 mph wind and sideways rain. Now we have 90 mph gusts forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Brother Brad hopped on the ferry to go to the mainland, and that was surely a helluva ride. He’s due back tomorrow morning, and he’d better make it, as he is expected for Thanksgiving. The store here ran out of fresh sage, and he’s supposed to be bringing me some, and he is planning on leaving for South Carolina for the winter here soon, so if he misses Thanksgiving I’m not gonna be happy.

Other breaking news, #3 daughter skipped school last Friday and lied to my face about it. Since she’s 16 and this is her first time doing anything like this I have grounded her for a week, and she cried copiously when she finally told me the truth. The thing is, she really didn’t feel well, had a slight fever and a headache, and all she had to do was tell me and I would have let her stay home. She and her BFF decided to skip and go to BFF’s house, as her mother works, and all they did was lie around and nap anyway. She’s actually in trouble more for the lie than for skipping, and I think she learned her lesson.

Tomorrow is prep for Turkey Day, I have one peach two pumpkin and two pumpkin pies to bake, cranberry and orange sauce to simmer, green bean and sweet N.O.T. casseroles to prepare, and a relish tray for which I will prepare the fresh veggies for and put together Thursday with the pickles and olives and dip. I might pull out a side of smoked salmon from the freezer and make a dip with that, and there are three clusters of king crab in the freezer that want me to do something with them. li-li your peppermint bark sounds like teh yum, and #3 daught is a candy cane addict, so we will have to put that on our for Christmas list to make after we get past the turkey day.

Other news, I have responded to my former BFF, and we are cautiously emailing each other. She is divorced from the head case who caused so much trouble, so there is no point in rebuffing her advances to make things right.

Okay, I am gonna hop into bed, tomorrow is gonna be a busy day. If I don’t make it back, Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow USAians, and just happy weekend to all!

Following the Zombie Theme, shouldn’t that be “Depends on what you had you mind in”?

I mean, I’m assuming it doesn’t take a <heh>brain surgeon to figure out what I have in mind:wink:

How many Middle-Eastern Zombies do you know in the MMP? (And no, **Dotty **after HRH keeps her up all night doesn’t count! :p)

Hey kai!! ~waves~ to kai

It sure does feel like later in the week. I feel discombobulated already. :frowning:

Well there are those odd moments, rare though they are, when you think of other things. I thought you might surprise me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, only in the MMP? I was hoping for a bigger population base.

I considered doing it, but I was worried about the effect that the shock would have on you…

Well, I guess you can always come over here and undertake the requisite research. I’ll be happy to help you feel… well taken care of… here

Wanna bet someone out there has made a porn movie involving hot lesbian zombie sex?

And a Happy Wednesday and Thanksgiving Eve to you all! I just checked on my kiln - when I got down there (no lights on - we don’ need no steenkin’ lights!) there was a weird orange glow filling my studio. The kiln lid doesn’t seal, and at a temp of 2151F, everything is orange hot. The most eerie part was the way the light moved thru a big clear plastic box that was sitting on a stool - until I turned the overhead light on, I couldn’t figure out why the orange glow was hovering in the middle of the room. Anyway, at the time, it was on its last 2 minutes of the cycle, so as I write this, cooldown has already begun. When the temp gets to around 500F, I’ll prop the lid open slightly, and with luck, I can unload tonight and pack up my sister’s mugs this evening, lest I forget them tomorrow.

Plans for the day - cooking and cleaning. My kitchen is a total disaster and I need to tend to that before I mess it up again. I found what looks to be a good custard pie recipe, so I’m back to 4 pies (3 to go, one punkin’ to keep) to bake today. And while they’re baking, I will finally run the vacuum and maybe do some dusting. I don’t see me getting any yard work done - oh well.

Before I start all the kitchen mess, I’m going to finish the second (4th) watermelon potholder, then put the “seeds” on the 3rd and 4th ones so I can take them to Mom tomorrow. It’s going to be a challenge, because at this hour, there’s way too much “Paid Programming” on the tube. Right now, I’ve got local news, which (surprise) has reporters at the local airports telling us how busy it’s going to be today “traditionally the busiest travel day of the year!” That phrase should be banned - so I declare it! And of course, on Friday, we get to hear about what is “traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year!” Because, you know, flying in a plane or going to a mall is Big News!!

I’m hungry. Will one of you bring me some breakfast? A mushroom-swiss omelette would be good, with home fries and wheat toast. And maybe a blueberry muffin for something sweet? Thanks ever so…

And on that note, I need to get back to my crochet hook. That potholder ain’t gonna make itself!

Off to work, then hockey tonight.

Nava, that’s a sure bet. I ain’t Googling it though.

$200, rigs? Can you spot me till Friday?

Dinner sounds good, kai. I’m doing blackened Cornish hen and red beans and rice.

Shadow, neat pic. Skunk looks like a diva in that one.

Thanks, bbs2k. I guess I have too much free time.

FCM, check your CD drive. Admittedly, it’s a Starbucks low-fat blueberry muffin, but it’s the best I could do at short notice!

Morning! Sweet potatoes are cooling. Looking for baby pic on other computer. Almost ready for work. Happy Thanksgiving Eve and/or Hump Day and/or day before Middle-Eastern end-of-workweek, and any other possibility I missed, as applicable.

Back later, hopefully with pics.

GT

It’s Hermie, actually. Not Herbie.

Roundboy caused an hour-and-a-half traffic jam yesterday during evening rush hour on the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge Tunnel. It is to laugh, I tell ya.

<snerk> Glad I no longer live on The Peeninsula. If I was caught in that traffic jam, he’d be bleedin’ demised.
In other news, I scared myself last night. VWife and I went out to buy T-day groceries, and in a fit of generosity, we got an extra turkey and gave it to neighbor Fred and family across the road, seein’ how they’re old and poor.

If this stuff keeps up, someone might think I’m actually a nice guy.

Dammit, missed the edit window of opportunity.

We’re having some big wig (or Big Whig, depending on his size, age and political leanings, I guess) Admiral come by Technical Thingies Inc in an hour or so. My boss says my monkey cage/cubicle is too messy. This from the guy who was shoveling files and papers into drawers and cabinets not ten minutes ago.
