It is not about Liberals money. I have no interest in it. PRR was a baseball fan if I remember correctly and I was looking forward to his opinion on the upcoming baseball season. he was not just an atheist. Any religious question degrades into acrimony ,if it goes on long enough.

What’s the big deal? There’s nobody who should be unhappy about this unless someone offered him $250 to stay and Lib went over the top.
How can the theme of the board cover something unprecedented? Does not compute. Any interpretation the mods applied without precedent (even with it, actually) would be subject to endless bickering, showing only that logic and common sense mean different things to different people.
Me and numerous others have stated it reflects badly on the poster, but I find extending this vaguely to “the board” is meaningless. You may as well say it diminishes humanity or scorns us in the Eyes of God. Got any statements from non-members who think this incident makes them think less of the SDMB? Got any statements from non-members who know or care about this picayune kerfuffle?
Of course if you want to feel diminished by this, be my guest.

Great points Bryan, it of course makes almost no difference to anyone off the board. As far as on the board members I wonder if it comes down to how different members view the board. I like the analogy that the dope is a favorite hangout/pub/bar/club and think of the dope as a community. Other view it strictly as a good message board and some view it as a reference source or source of humor.
I would hazard a guess that those of us that view it as a community or favorite club are more likely to see it as a diminishment of the community/club and those that view it for otherwise. Personally, this is the only message board to which I post. I only read one other. I think we are the same posters that would not leave for $500.
